BBTV
Speaking of Eagles, I'd love to see TO get one of these jobs, probably in studio. I think he'd be fantastic at it. McNabb is a POS and has been since the day he was drafted. HD was OK with some of the local stuff he did. I haven't heard any of his other work. I really don't think of Aikman as a Cowboy anymore. I just think of him as a broadcaster. I really think he's an excellent color guy - probably the best in football. He's got a good cadence, good voice (i.e. he's not SHOUTING), and is usually very insightful and not insulting when explaining things. As for Romo - it's just too soon. You can't go from dressing in the locker room directly to a position where you're supposed to objectively break down the game and talk about players. At least not at the highest level with the most eyes (ears) on you. Good for him for getting the gig, but I don't understand why there was a bidding war. How he got the #1 gig: https://www.si.com/tech-media/2017/04/05/tony-romo-cbs-sports-broadcasting-nfl-analyst-role Quote Naturally, McManus thinks Romo will be a game-changer. “People have said to us, ‘Boy, you're taking a guy who is coming right from the field into a position as a lead analyst, isn't that a risk?’ Well, I think it's a very manageable risk, to be honest with you,” McManus said. “I think Tony will be having all sorts of work this summer, whether it's doing practice games, whether it's doing preseason games, whether it's sitting down and looking at film and tape of other analysts and the kind of job that they do. It's going to be a full time job for Tony really starting this summer. So I think when he goes to the booth, he'll be ready. But will he better Week 6 than he is Week 1? Yes, he will be. Will he better in Year 2 than he will be in Year 1, yes he will. But if we didn't have the faith in Tony, if we didn't have the faith that he could be an outstanding analyst, we wouldn't be taking this risk.”

I knew him as the MNF commentator; I don't think I learned Gifford played football until all that Kathie Lee stuff happened. Troy Aikman was a really big deal in the 90s. Almost a Tony Romo of his day, except he won a lot. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Romo won't bring higher ratings to their Thusday night schedule and with CBS possessing the AFC half, they're going always struggle. LA now gets the Chargers over the Raiders to start. CS85
Aaron Rodgers & Olivia Munn broke up. Maybe he'll finally be allowed to talk to his family again. LAWeaver
In legal news, Aaron Hernandez was found not guilty today. Meanwhile Eli Manning has been accused of passing off merchandise and memorabilia as game worn even if it wasn't. Can't remember the exact date, but I believe SportsCenter reported the first hearing is in September. @loganaweaver - Twitter / @loganaweaver - Instagram / Nike Vapor Untouchable Football Template / Logan's Logos

dfwabel
Hernandez is still serving life for the murder of Odin Lloyd. And Dean Blandino quits as VP of Officiating. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000800078/article/nfl-vp-dean-blandino-resigning-to-take-network-job He was personally set to rule on EVERY replay this season as it's being centralized in NYC this year. He didn't want that pressure and fan hatred with it. Also doesn't help that he never was a game official at any organized level. The NFL may be been tipped off as he apparently interviewed for ESPN's college football rules guy last year. http://www.footballzebras.com/2017/04/14/dean-blandino-quits-nfl-television/

He's not gonna be very good. Think Josh McCown but with less flair. Speaking of that, there seems to be a bit of a strange Bears-Bucs connection in the NFL. It may be a coincidence, but it always seems like guys who were with the Bucs end up with the Bears and vice versa. Lovie to Chicago from Tampa and then back to Tampa after Chicago Josh McCown from Chicago to Tampa Gaines Adams to Chicago from Tampa (And then he died) Now Glennon from Tampa to Chicago It's probably a coincidence, but y'all seem to end up with a lot of former Bucs. Rockstar Matt
Is it bad that despite the postseason of two of my favorite sports currently going on, that I'm over the moon with excitement about the effing 2017 NFL schedule which will be released on Thursday? I literally don't think I could quit the NFL even if I tried. Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

So, they keep pumping the drug.

Dynasty
What a damn shame. He had talent, going from a star tight end of the New England Patriots to a murderer. He could've had it all... and he chose to do something stupid. He threw it all away and now the road has ended for him. Sad.
