Germanshepherd
Well we were due for a stinker. At least it’s a new team this time. Variety, it’s the spice of life. 1 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience
TrueYankee26
Georgia making frog soup tonight. From being underachievers for 40 years to being a 2020s dynasty in college football. Congrats Bulldog fans. 1 Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com

Dynasty
If I was an Ohio State fan, I'd be even more frustrated with that Peach Bowl loss. It seemed like whoever won that game was going to win the Natty.
FiddySicks
Yo, forget Notre Dame Bama bad, this is Georgia over Hawaii levels of bad. That 12 team playoff really can’t come quick enough. Germanshepherd
Ironically I think this year is what we’ll get more of with the 12 team playoff. The final may not be interesting, but the way we get there will be. 1 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience
shstpt1
And it’s only going to be worse with the unregulated free agency and NIL. It truly is all about recruiting classes and transfer portal grabs.
FiddySicks
This is really too bad. It’s one thing to lose and lose big, but to just get absolutely embarrassed like this in the National Championship game is another thing. This feels like it could potentially be one of those program set back games for TCU, even. Bummer. But yeah, I think they're going to lose a lot of the goodwill they earned with a truly wild season. My current theory is that Sonny Dykes made a deal with the devil to make TCU great for 2022, neglecting the fact that the title game is in 2023. In a 12 team scenario I can’t imagine TCU making it this far. It’s not impossible, but the one thing a large playoff usually does is weed out the weaker teams earlier. Just look at the NCAA tournament. There’s a lot of talk about the smaller schools winning games early, but it always ends up being the same handful of power schools that actually win the thing. 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) ManillaToad
I've seen some blowouts in national championships but this is the worst. Georgia is making TCU look like an FCS team
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans
I wonder if it's better for Michigan to have lost in a surprise semifinal upset than to get trucked in the final. I watched the game for 2 minutes and it was obvious it would be a very long night for TCU. Oh well, at least they made it. That's pretty good! 1 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
Red Wolf
Georgia struggled more with Kent State, a MAC team that finished with a losing record. Really makes it feel like the Bulldogs were just dicking around most of the season. 2

Every year we get one good semi-final and a decent final, this year we got two great semi-finals and a walkover of a championship game. And the FCS championship was a walkover yesterday as well, the only difference is you could go to the parking lot at halftime this year for the FBS teams. 13 minutes ago, FiddySicks said: In a 12 team scenario I can’t imagine TCU making it this far. I think they make the semi's but if they played Georgia or Alabama there the result would equal tonight. Losing Kendra Miller hurts but even he isn't making this much closer. 1 hour ago, Dynasty said: If I was an Ohio State fan, I'd be even more frustrated with that Peach Bowl loss. I would have been fine watching Michigan getting whooped in the final, and I think the only way Michigan fans would say they'd rather lose in the semi's is if this was the same score. FiddySicks
Tonight really emphasizes the :censored:tiest part of college football. These smaller teams almost never make a big run, and when they do, the result always seems to be something like this. It’s not just that they lose, it’s that they’re completely dominated to the point where everyone asks why they’re even in the game to begin with. That’s pretty damn demoralizing, and I can’t really think of another sport that has a similar issue. I used to not like the NCAA tournament (still don’t, really), but the reason was because it was always the same few teams winning, despite all of the early distractions from smaller schools winning games. Stuff like tonight changes my tune on that somewhat. Might as well find a way to weed out teams like this earlier on, rather than on your biggest stage. It’s just a really bad look for everyone involved. 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Germanshepherd
I mean bear in mind this team went 5-7 last year and brought in a new coach. Even with tonight’s result, this was year one of a rebuild. Teams like this don’t ever get to shoot this high this soon, and I respect them for it. What they did this year was impressive, what they tried to pull off tonight was impossible. 1 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience
Kooky01
Hate to be the history guy here, but this might just reach 1940 NFL Championship level (73-0) blowout if Georgia somehow gets even MORE points.
