Korkie
The Eagles word mark is perfectly safe and boring. I agree that it will feel out of place with the current number fonts and logos. 5 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. BBTV
It’ll at least fix the “issue” that the now-former word mark has when it’s painted in the end zone. I wonder when they’re going to update the retail jerseys since they’ve been (presumably) selling tons of new ones. 3 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." I am fine with the logo as is, not much else you can do with an eagle, but I wouldn’t be opposed to something fresher. 2 "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. VikWings
So instead of adding the old gold helmet to match the throwbacks the Saints decide on an unnecessary black abomination with the Seahawks stripe. Great. And that Eagles word mark is so boring and corporate like most new word marks are these days. Fans are ripping it.
FiddySicks
Probably the cherry on top of the Saints black helmet is, if I’m understanding this correctly, the only jersey they can’t pair it with is the primary black home jersey. I know we kind of have a thing against mono looks, but even so, that’s very dumb. 2 On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Old gold to match the throwbacks/color rush would have been ideal.

MJD7
Honestly, on its own aesthetically, I actually like the Saints helmet, as unpopular as that seems to be. I can see the Louis Vuitton comparison with the helmet stripe, but something about it captures something that feels very “New Orleans” and very “Saints” at the same time, if that makes any sense at all. However, pairing it with the Color Rush jersey is an absolute travesty. I didn’t think it could possibly get worse than the vegas gold helmet that didn’t match. An old gold helmet would have been so much better, even a white helmet would have been nice. The only combo I think this helmet would look good with is all black, although I understand that’s impossible under the current rules. As for the Eagles’ wordmark, I similarly like it on its own, it’s a nice refresh that feels fitting for the team. However, in keeping the old eagle logo & presumably the old number font, I imagine the wordmark will look quite out of place. It feels like a half-measure when I would have preferred them to try a complete refresh.
