Welp. That was a fun two seasons. Not sure if thatโ€™s ever gonna feel totally real.ย

Share your favorite Tom Brady memories

In his final game, against the Rams, having staged a furious fourth quarter comeback down multiple scores using every last ounce of his devil magic to tie the game with less than 2 minutes remaining, he watched from the sideline as the Rams raced down the field to kick a game winning field goal with no time left.

ย

I deeply appreciate the irony.

I'm sure to Tom, "retire" means to quit. He's got too much self pride to use drop that word

It's funny because I didn't actually intend to associate that retirement pic as my favorite memory, just wanted to add some flair to the thread. Week 17 of the 2007 season really stands out for me. I was a die-hard Giants fan and still in college...back when sports mattered to me. I remember that game like it was yesterday, man that team was something else to witness.

So Tom Brady memories eh?ย

ย

I have to admit the 28-3 comeback was pretty neat. I know everyone was slobbering the Falcons' collective knob but 1) the fact that the most outspoken Falcons fan here was a real jerk and 2) if you stripped away the subjective stuff it really was a great comeback/Super Bowl made it easy to just embrace as a great sports moment. I'd say that game was the moment Brady eclipsed Montana.ย

And hey. I'm a sports fan and a history teacher. Watching sports history happen before my eyes was cool.ย

ย

Beyond that it's the Bucs stuff. I moved to Tampa in 2016 and just sort of casually grew closer to the Bucs through watching games down here with fans.ย

I decided to make the jump after Winston's 30 for 30 season, with Phillip Rivers (the last part of those San Diego Chargers teams I cared about) leaving the Chargers.ย

ย

Funnily enough the going rumour at the time was that it was Rivers, not Brady, who was coming to the Bucs. That would have been funny.ย

But no, it was Tom ๐Ÿคฌing Brady. I stumbled into liking a team that got the GOAT. I figured he was here to wind down his career but no again! He won the Super Bowl. His first year here. In the Bucs' home stadium. In my first year as a true blue fan of the team.ย

ย

That was wild and fun. Wish that this past season had ended differently, but it's hard to complain about anything after last year. So last year's Super Bowl was probably my favourite Tom Brady memory.ย

Have to give Brady credit, not many can go out like Barry Sanders.ย

Too many players end up playing far past their expiration date (coughbenrothlisbergercough).ย

ย

He no doubt could have won 1 or 2 more if he wanted to. Only thing that stopped him this years was the team being injured to :censored:, and Antonio Brown remembering he's Antonio Brown.ย

Lol.

ย

Pretty much in line with what I've expected on the subject. Whether he actually will return, I have no idea, but what you say and feel in February is so much different than it is in July with training camp and the regular season right around the corner. And the longer the Bucs go into this off-season with Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask as their top-2 QBs on the depth chart, the more convinced I'll be the beat writers have an unpublished "Brady's returning" tweet just waiting for the "send" button to be used.
