Discrim
Are we sure Jeff Saturday's never coached before? Sheesh, if the Raiders lose this one, Josh McDaniels may as well fake his own death and go to his own funeral as a guy named Phil Shifley before disappearing into whatever abyss claimed Rich Kotite. 2 1 Quote A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull

Cowboys and Packers playing each other this week so no chance in hell any other matchup gets the nod. Despite how much better the other teams are.

Indigo
I have no idea who this #34 on my Cowboys is, but he sure can run the ball, so kudos to him. I'm prepared for a post-game hissy fit from Rodgers, especially after his reciever stopped running on a would-be touchdown.

Honestly this is a good point. There’s definitely some MLB coaches/managers who start coaching at the highest level immediately after playing retirement. There is also the instance of a coach never actually playing the sport they get hired for. For example, Dave Trembley never played baseball yet found his way into the manager position of the Orioles and was, well, bad at his job. Should Saturday have rose through the ranks? Yeah that’s a no brainer, but it’s not like this sort of thing never happens in sports.

Things were getting stale up there anyways and Mike Zimmer was starting to wear thin on people. You obviously don’t follow the Vikings very closely. “Starting to wear thin” doesn’t come close to covering it. 1 Quote http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/

What about NBA? Didn't Jason Kidd get hired in his first year after retiring? Quote BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!2013/14 Tanks Picks Champion

And how many times has highly touted NFL assistant gotten a job and completely crapped the bed? (every single Belichick disciple) I'm rooting for Saturday to win some games. More than likely, he'll go back to ESPN after the season ends. But it's a nice little experiment to see if coaching experience = real football knowledge.

Steve Nash also got a coaching gig on name alone. I also omitted David Ross getting the Cubs gig after a few years doing Sunday Night Baseball and Dancing with the Stars. There’s also the off chance the Colts just paddle through the remaining schedule with a .500 record or better. Then what do the Colts do? Roll the dice even further and hire Saturday full time? Cujo
Aaaaaaand Jeff Saturday, from off his living room couch, just beat Josh McDaniels, one of the "greatest assistant coaches of all-time". Folks can stop crying about Irsay's decision now.

Also Steve Kerr was in the broadcast booth before he became coach of the Golden State Warriors, although he did have experience as GM of the Suns during the early years of the Sarver ownership. heavybass
The 13th of November will be remembered as the day Josh Mcdaniels NFL career was put to the grave. Seriously a coach with no experience beats you, that would be the sign to finally hang up the clipboard and sink under the nearest rock.
