The Phillies are one of those teams where they have a colored jersey but they wear it very rarely...catches me off-guard to see them wear it in an NLCS game.

To wit - according to Uniformlineup, they only wore those jerseys 18 times during the regular season (if I counted correctly), which amounts to an average of three games per month.

Their "official" rotation, which they're good at sticking with (with one exception) even in playoffs is:

1. Home Pinstripes (all home night games except Thursdays)

2. Home cream throwback (all home day games except Thursday and opening day, where they wear the home pinstripes regardless of start time)

3. Powder-blue throwback (Thursday, except for opening day if it falls on a Thursday)

4. Red alt (getaway day) (but they've typically skipped this in the playoffs after such a short "road trip".  My guess is it was just a slumpbuster last night.)

5. Road gray (all road games except for getaway day)

IMO, for playoffs they should only  wear home pinstripes and road grays.  No alts.  And the red alt Sucks.  Besides just general suckage, the chainstitching of the wordmark clashes with the flat-red fabric of the jersey and looks awful.

EDIT:  according to this site, here's the breakdown (can't vouch for accuracy, but seems reasonable)

1. Home Pins: 47x

2. Road Grays:  61x

3. Home Powders:  8x

4. Home Cream: 26x

5. Road Red: 18x (including second game of double headers if it's getaway day)

That's based on eyeballing that site (they don't provide totals for some reason) so my math may be off by one or two, and if there were any stupid pandering alts, I just went with what it looked like on the page at a glance.

It's funny - I associate them with the home pins a lot more than whatever percentage 47x would be, and same with road gray - I thought that would be closer to 70, not 61.

Nah they're pretty reliable as far as tracking goes.  I wish that there was a full database going back to before 2012 for things like this

It doesn't seem to be 100% complete, but it looks like almost every game back to 2007 is on Getty.  Early in the season before any other sites update I use Getty to track uniform use and appearance since it's updated every day for every game.

So WS patches will now be on the front of the jersey.

thanks to the sleeve ads, even for teams that do not have them.

Holy cluttering Batman!

Looks like :censored:, and the patch is also much smaller than previous 35+ years, of course, since there is less room on the front than on the sleeve.

Man, :censored: MLB and their greedy boss and  team owners.

Reminds me of what some teams do in the College World Series and it looks awkward and bad there too.

Texas vs Arizona sounds more like college football.

Not good college football.

Ironically it is a Penn State & Steelers bar. What's up with that lol

Dunno but I went in there once to hit the bathroom after getting off the PATH and it was the worst bar experience of my life. Toilet paper seemed to be covering the floor (the main room, not the bathroom). When I got downstairs for the toilet there was a stall with no door and some chode offering a bump while I tried to take a piss. I'm sure the gameday atmosphere is... sufferable.

This is about what I would expect. I use the NJT Terminal bathroom in a pinch...

Vague country theming that's changed hands 1000x and kept the name because it has value. It's all super tight v-neck tshirts and lines around the corner type bar...

Ugh.... i hate super tight v-neck tshirts.... or just tight t shirts in general, does not even have to be v-necks.

But i am sorry i have to ask what lines around the corner means?  🤔

It means the line waiting for the bathroom was really long.🤦‍♂️

I actually liked the patch being on the front of the jersey where it was (maybe that's just because I'm so used to watching football and hockey), but I absolutely hate the reason for it. Also, it's going to look horrible when they have to put a chest patch on a team with a chest logo, like the Yankees or Tigers home jerseys.
