More than one. Five misconducts for Florida.

Make that six...Cousins just got assessed one. (What's the record for game misconduct by one team in one game?)

And through two games, this has been complete and utter domination by Vegas. Vegas is definitely the stronger team. Florida at times skates faster, but right now, if the Panthers have any chance of salvaging anything, they got between now and Thursday night to figure something out. 2-0 lead for the Gold Guys.

guess Bobrovsky really was just too good right now. huh.

thinking back to my New Vegas analogy earlier, heading to Florida really is reminiscent of storming the Legion's camp, isn't it?

The scary thing is that Vegas for some reason has played better on the road this postseason (as Dallas found out the hard way).

This could get real ugly, real fast for Florida—well, even more than it already is. I highly doubt there's anything about the environment down in Sunrise that could even slightly intimidate them, or even make them chuckle. (I say this as a born-and-bred Florida native). BUT...Vegas better watch themselves, too...they absolutely cannot take their foot off the tiger's panther's neck down there. That's how they almost choked themselves out of the Conference Finals. Hopefully they remember that.

HOW?!

think they spent what they had and now are coming up empty when it matters. I was not expecting this outcome. I think Panthers regroup at home, but even then I still don't see how Vegas gets beat in either of the next two games.

Either Vegas completely relaxes and thinks they can just waltz through the next game and not have to try too hard. Or some fluke goal gets scored at the right time that gives Florida a 2-goal advantage that they can camp out on and force Vegas to tire themselves out in desperation. I just don't see it likely. And not enough for 4 of the next 5.

Vegas fans have suffered longer than most others -- I mean those fans went forever without having a single pro sports team.

Not to mention having to actually live in Vegas. I of course use that term loosely because everyone who lives in Vegas is dead on the inside.

This series isn't that surprising. Panthers only made it this far because one of the worst goalies in the league this year played out of his mind for a stretch.  They lose to Toronto and Carolina if Bob played to form.

all I see everywhere I turn is Panthers /lifelongs/ bitching about refs. you lost by five goals. you lose all right to complain about officiating when the gap hits three. sorry reality is setting in. goddamn Floridians, man.

Easy there, Jimmy.

First off: like maybe 82.65% of the "fans" down there—much like the residents—are from/grew up in some place other than Florida, so don't lump them in with us bonafide natives 😀. Second, the Panthers haven't been 100% terrible recently, so its possible they picked up a few diehards the past several years...but I doubt very seriously there are more than maybe two in the whole lot of south Florida who were devout fans of the team prior Beezer and Bure arriving down there and especially ahead of '96 (and maybe only a handful since then). All of that is to say: consider who it is that's doing the bickering...probably a vocal bunch of new bandwagoners who still don't have a half-decent grasp on the actual rules of the game. (I'm sure somewhere down there are some trueblood knowledgeable fans of the sport who are far more reasonable—there always is in every base—but they're not the vocal majority, and again very rarely if ever are.

All that said, you're 100% correct about those complaining about officiating...especially whilr their team is literally ungluing right in front od their TV screens. And that starts with their alternate captain Tkachuk. Dude right now seems to be in the graduate course of the Jamie Benn School of NHL Hockey Captaincy...and dragging the rest of that team right down with him. Side note: it's funny to read the official team social media posts after a  bludgeoning brake-beating loss like that. Half the time it's barely one or two words, such as the last one on the flapanthers Instagram: "Get it back" or something to that effect. (Vegas' posts were no different after their two losses to the Stars.) If anyone wants.a quick chuckle, go check those out...and then juxtapose them with the posts written after a team win.

I haven't seen that here. Maybe you ought to go complain where you are seeing it, not where you aren't.

The Cardiac Cats strike again as Florida wins their first Finals game in franchise history to cut the series to a one-game deficit. Could we see a repeat of the Boston series where they go down big early and run it all the way back?

A reminder that the Golden Knights have a history of choking, when they're in advance of a crucial series.

They need to be careful or history can repeat itself. They could have been up 3-0 tonight, had they played just a little bit better in the final 2 minutes.

And that Florida has already come back from the brink of death in these playoffs before to win a series it looked like they were basically primed to lose. The combination of those two factors could be pretty ominous for the Knights.

Maybe Vegas went easy on Florida during the last game because they want to win the Cup at home.

If the Golden Knights win tonight, I can only imagine what kind of atmosphere it will be in T-Mobile Arena and on Las Vegas Boulevard.

They outplayed Florida in that game too but Bob played too good and Vegas hit some posts.

This is such a mismatch.  Florida's only chance is Bob playing out of his mind and, granted, it's possible given the last two series but he's not very good.

What an insanely lucky goal that was.

Seriously?? Let's lose game 3 on purpose so we can win the next 2?
