Soooo without Bettman, LasVegas doesn't have the Raiders, A's or NBA expansion on its way. Ya, I wouldn't boo him either if I'm a Vegas local. 1 minute ago, habsfan1 said: The only 2 places that won't boo him are Vegas and Arizona. *There's nobody to boo him at Coyotes games 2
nickp91
We've had 3 notable championships in Las Vegas sports history 1. UNLV basketball national title in 1990 - first title 2. Las Vegas Aces 2022 WNBA title - first pro title 3. Vegas Golden Knights 2022-23 Stanley Cup champs
SCMODS
Not a fun time to be a Miami/South Florida sports fan right now. I believe this happened in 2016 as well when the Warriors & Sharks (Bay Area) lost to the Cavs & Penguins.

I think I saw on Reddit - can't locate it right now because of the silly blackouts - that this is the 9th time where a market had finalists in both the Stanley Cup and NBA Finals. On zero occasions has the market double dipped and walked away with two championships. This is the fourth time where the market has hit snake eyes and lost both series'. Would actually like to see this list. 1994 Knicks/Rangers is all I can even come up with off the top of my head. But would assume it happened a few times the with Celtics/Bruins. Your last sentence prompted me to look it up, and in 1958 the Celtics and Bruins both lost in the NBA/SC Finals. The other double whammies that I know about are 1980 Philadelphia (Sixers lost to Lakers, Flyers lost to Islanders), 1994 New York as you mention, 2016 California Bay Area, as mentioned above, and 2023 Miami-area. FiddySicks
Entirely unserious league. Closer to WWF than to a sport. Basically the equivalent of winning the AAA baseball championship a Savannah Bananas game at this point, and I’d still probably take that more seriously. 1 2 1 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Dynasty
I knew after they lost the 2018 Final, the Knights would still get one at some point. It's what the league wanted anyway.

The Bolts were like $18 million over in 2021, and nobody said that was rigged then. Well, okay, maybe a few people, but playoff teams going over the cap will always happen as long as the cap doesn't apply to the postseason, and it'll be a cold day in hell before either side lets the cap apply to the playoffs.
