I am so glad that we won't have to hear that stupid music every time the Mets batters get a 3-anything count anymore.

The playoffs are honestly going to be a lot less exciting without the Mets

Outside of the Mariners (who I don’t really see doing much from here on out) this is a REALLY bad final 8. None of these teams are even remotely likeable.

Yeah I'm hoping, Cleveland,  Philly, Seattle and San Diego can pull off an upset an win.

Because :censored: the Yankees

Astros* don't deserve a real championship for a few more decades.

And Screw the Dodgers imitating the 90's yankees and buying every player that wins an MVP.

Atlanta, I'm actually ok with if they repeat. I feel like people already forget they won the world series last year.

I'll disagree. The Mariners & Guardians, IMO, are very likeable. The Padres are likeable against certain teams (Dodgers, Yankees, Astros... and Mets). And actually the Cardinals are the only team I ever cheer for against the Braves (or if the Braves losing helps the Cardinals). That being said, unless it's my team (the Cardinals as you may not have known), I kinda like that we technically haven't had a back-to-back champion this century (1998-2000 Yankees being the last), so if the Braves made were to make it to and lose to the Mariners or Guardians in the World Series, I'd be cool with that.

I think we've established that MLB basically hates its own fans, but we know that there's only two games on Friday, and we know what teams are playing, yet they still haven't announced game times so that anyone can make plans to take off of work or make any other arrangements necessary to attend.  I get waiting until the Mets blow it, but now there's no excuse to not know when the games are starting.

Also, 1PM postseason games should be outlawed.  It's absurd that you wait so long for a team to make the playoffs, and even advance, and they make it so most people can't even watch.  I know that they want to avoid head-to-head matchups, and that there's more teams now, but there's still ways to do it so that games aren't starting at one (or even 4:30.)

Mariners are playing both games against the Astros at 12:30 local time. Normally I could just watch from home but tomorrow and Wednesday I have all-day meetings in a work trip to Portland. Sucks for me.

Sucks more for kids who are in school.

What the hell, MLB?

I'll almost certainly regret saying this, because once it happens I'll probably change my mind, but I actually don't mind the thought of a Yankees-Dodgers World Series. As a neutral in the matter, I feel as if a callback to classic baseball of the '40s and '50s and the rivalry of the '70s might actually do the game some good.

All that said, it's hard to root against the Mariners at this point.

So we still don't know what time Friday's NLDS game is yet.

Not only that, but it's looking like a game 5 between Phillies and Braves will be on prime time Sunday night - opposite the Philles vs Cowboys game.

MLB truly hates its fans.  It's effing ridiculous that they can't say what time Friday's game starts, as if people with tickets don't have to make arrangements.  I could sell my crappy ticket for >$300 now, or wait and hope that I'm actually able to go.

Not sure what you're saying, because https://www.mlb.com/postseason has the times set for Friday.

ATL @ PHI is 437pm ET

LAD @ SD  is 837pm ET

...and PHI @ ATL Game 5 (if necessary) is Sunday at 437pm.

How clutch is Nick Castellanos?  Big hits, and a huge diving catch to save the game for the Phillies after Zach Efflin did his best to blow it.  I've been telling people all year not to give up on Castellanos.  He's a good guy that's just run into some bad luck, and was bound to turn it around.

I was finally able to get away from work to watch the bottom of the 9th.

Baseball is pain. The Astros are misery.
