Ravens in the new FUSE template

Gross.  I hate this template.  Too many unnecessary seams and the bacon neck is brutal.

The Vapor Untouchable was perfect and there was no good reason to change it.

I would have loved to see fauxbacks for the newer teams

Agreed.  It would actually give newer teams the opportunity to develop “What if?” uniforms.

What would the Texans look like if founded in the 60’s?

Panthers in the 70’s?

Commanders in the 80’s?

There are a lot of fun possibilities league-wide if complete games were Throwback games.

Another one?  “Vintage” fabrics and construction.

Meaning dazzle mesh.

And shiny pants.

Tampa would actually use period correct mesh jerseys when they'd wear the throwbacks, even in 2012 with Nike. I kinda hope they do that again.

Looks like Carolina may be pairing the black helmet with the blue jerseys and black pants this season.

I should probably hate this (and still hate the way the logo disappears on the helmet, but I kinda don’t. Black/Blue/Black actually looks pretty good.

Ravens in the new FUSE template

Baltimore should have used this opportunity to bring back the contrasting collar. This is a classic case where a manufacturer has changed a team’s permanent look.

Their collar matches the jersey color because they realized this looked like crap on the old Nike template:

And then they dropped the Flywire but kept the same template. They could have added the contrasting collar back but probably thought the collar was still too massive (definitely):

But they didn’t take advantage of the Vapor Untouchable with a normal sized collar and stuck with their old look, nor did they fix it with the new Fuse template.

Texans also using the new collar design but the seams run straight across. No V shape.

Per their Instagram story.

At first I assumed it was because of the wordmark. But the Ravens and other teams with similar wordmark placement didn't seem to have any issues.

I commented on the Panthers IG post how terrible this combo is and of course all the kids came out calling me an old head.  I stand by my opinion.

Black helmet is junk.

Black pants are junk.

It’ll be a better world if Carolina ever retires them both.

Plus it's annoying that Carolina would remedy the shoulder stripe, but not address the fact the TV numbers need to just be removed and that the pants stripe needs to be fixed to terminate at a point. Also, the shoulder loop going all the way around on the old template was 10x better than the way it is on the jersey Chark is wearing

I think it looks better as a USC/Texans style stripe than as a full loop. It's got more of a clawed feel to it.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
