There's a couple of people in Nashville who found that out the hard way last season. Anybody who saw Ryan Tannehill in Miami would be able to tell you that he was never going to be the guy to get you over the hump. Maybe Mariota could've gotten them over the hump if his development wasn't utterly botched by a steady stream of donkey-brained OC's. 2 Quote MLB: Project 32 (Complete), MLB: The Defunct Saga (Complete)
Red Comet
Enjoy it while it lasts. Believe me, I know I good times don’t last forever but on the flip side, neither do bad times. I’m not sure if I’ll ever watch a game again after Mahomes retires because I think it’s just going to be all downhill from here.

I started watching football the season the Cowboys beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl, and I grew up right smack dab in the heart of 49ers country. I was a bit of a weird kid (still am), so I picked the Bucs instead of going with what everyone else liked. In that time span I think the Bucs have had one of the lowest winning percentages of any team in the NFL, while the Niners have had one of the highest. Even with that, I’ve seen my Bucs win the Super Bowl twice, and have never seen any of my friends or family get to enjoy a Niners win. Football’s weird, man. 1 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) In terms of just getting to the postseason and putting themselves in the running. I think the Vikings are one of the most successful teams in the Super Bowl era. What happened after that is basically a Football's Wackiest Bloopers videotape as directed by David Lynch. 1 Quote ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

I was thinking Darren Aronofsky as the director, following the template of Requiem for a Dream. Yes, with the "Lux Aeterna" song playing over the defeats. Honestly though, we haven't seen these kind of misses on big QB deals before. We've seen countless draft busts but how many players/teams have just totally tanked after giving a QB a big contract? Not many that I can think of. I think we're in uncharted territory here.

Wentz was a major bust money-wise. The biggest bust money-wise is still Albert Haynesworth. Dude didn't even bother playing some games after he got paid.
