They are playing worse than the Divisional Game last year. Maybe the 49ers are truly the Cowboys kryptonite or boogeyman. They’re the only team to have consistently made the Cowboys look this bad in the last 3 years. The 49ers are just a stylistic match up nightmare for Dallas. Rockstar Matt Posted October 9, 2023 Share Posted October 9, 2023 I love Dak, and I think he’s good enough to win a lot in this league, but the Cowboys need to pair him with a play caller that makes it easy for him similar to how Shannon does for his QB’s. He’s not a force multiplier, meaning a QB who will elevate the play of his teammates, but he needs help schematically (McCarthy has called a poor game tonight too). He also just hasn’t looked consistently good since the awful leg break in 2020. He’s lost his throwing power and his mobility. Cowboys need to have a conversation after this season about Dak going forward, and more than likely McCarthy too. Can’t be consistently outclassed at QB and HC and hope to win a Super Bowl.
