Didn't the NFL try some type of PI review a few years back?

The year after the Saints cried about blowing the NFCCG. It was a mess because refs would still miss PI under replay.

Did they get rid of PI reviews? I just remember the success rate getting them overturned was pretty atrocious, so I thought maybe coaches just stopped challenging.

And we also need to get ref analysis out of the broadcast. They only ever say "ignore what your eyes are telling you and listen to me stand up for my buddies."

In my observation, they regularly throw the on-field refs under the bus.  I find Pereira and Steratore to be very fair when explaining why a call was either correct or how the refs missed it.  IIRC I've even heard them say that the replay guys blew one or two.

I had this as a Cowboys loss before the season started, but man I thought they’d show some more fight and be more effective. They are playing worse than the Divisional Game last year.

Maybe the 49ers are truly the Cowboys kryptonite or boogeyman. They’re the only team to have consistently made the Cowboys look this bad in the last 3 years.

I don’t think this says as much about the Cowboys as it does the 49ers. This Niners team is probably one of the best teams I’ve ever seen.

To be fair, they are really good but it’s also a matchup thing with these two. The 49ers are just a stylistic match up nightmare for Dallas.

Watch when the Eagles play the Niners and how much better they’ll play versus San Francisco because they match up way better with them than the Cowboys do.

I love Dak, and I think he’s good enough to win a lot in this league, but the Cowboys need to pair him with a play caller that makes it easy for him similar to how Shannon does for his QB’s. He’s not a force multiplier,  meaning a QB who will elevate the play of his teammates, but he needs help schematically (McCarthy has called a poor game tonight too).

He also just hasn’t looked consistently good since the awful leg break in 2020. He’s lost his throwing power and his mobility.

Cowboys need to have a conversation after this season about Dak going forward, and more than likely McCarthy too. Can’t be consistently outclassed at QB and HC and hope to win a Super Bowl.

49ers are clearly the cream of the crop

They should be far and away the Super Bowl favorites. The Cowboys limited McCaffrey to arguably his worst game as Niner, Aiyuk and Deebo were relatively held in check and the 49ers still won by 32 because of their ridiculous elsewhere talent lmao
