Gibson Southern High School. Class of 2005.

We were a school that joined three small towns together, so we all pretty much hated each other our freshman year (big rivalries in middle school). We are pretty much a rip of USC and Minnesota. We have Maroon & Gold for our colors, our logo is a Titan with a shield with "GS" in the same style as "SC". And our fight song is "Minnesota Rouser".

Our biggest rival was Princeton High School. During the time I went to school, Princeton had a combined record (in football) of 1-31. The won the last game of my senior year, but not against us. We were the only school not allowed to make fun of their losing streak. Why? Because the last team they beat, was us.

The team we hated the most, however, was Heritage Hills High School in Lincoln City. They were a total rip off of the New England Patriots (pre flying elvis). They always creamed us. And won state in football every year. However, we kicked their ass in Band 4 years straight, and our Softball Team stomped their ass and went on to win the State Championship.

Non local team we hate the most? Ft. Wayne Luers. The "Knights" defeated our Titans in the Class 3A Girls Basketball Championship one year..so we don't like them.

Interesting Fact: The four years I went to GS, was the only time they've won a championship in anything (2 in Band, 1 in Softball).

Mine: Millard North Mustangs (blue, silver, black)

Rival: Creighton Prep Junior Jays (Blue, White) We would always make fun of them being an all boys school by throwing soap on a roap on the field in any sport.

ANother rival: Millard West Wildcats (green, black) and Millard South Patriots (red, white, blue) ( ripoff of the NE pats logo)

We are doing pretty well this year in football 7-1, compared to last years 5-6 record

I think we have scored 400 points against the opp. team and they have scored 90 points.

I just wanna do hoodrat things with my friends.

My School: Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Purple and Gold)

Traditional Rival: Harlan Cyclones (Black and Red)

Oh, and to call it a rivalry makes sense even though Harlan beat D-S in just about everything. Of course, the most bad blood comes from football when more often then not, Harlan knocks us out of the playoffs.

Oh, and they also did a little 'redecorating' on our Homecoming game a few years ago.

My School: Elk Lake HS - Warriors - Dimock PA - green and white. (Our basketball unis were just like the Celtics, because our coach once played for them.) The official logo was an elk's head with an Indian headdress on it, but mostly they just used an interlocking EL.

Rival: Montrose HS - Meteors - Montrose PA - maroon and white.

Elk Lake didn't have football. The big sport was/is basketball.

It seemed like we were always playing Montrose. In my sophomore year (1974-75), we actually did play them seven times. The league played a split season back then, and we played each other once each half. We tied for the first half, and needed to have a playoff (we won). We also tied in the second half (Montrose won). So we then played for the league championship. Elk Lake won, but both qualified for the District tournament, where we met again in the final. And since the top two went to the State tournament, we met once again in the State Quarterfinals, where we met Montrose for a seventh time. We won, but then lost in the State Semifinals.

Two years later, Elk Lake won the State Championship with an undefeated season (36-0). The Finals in Hershey were against Shanksville - where years later the plane would crash on 9/11.

I'm a 1986 alum of Jefferson City Senior High School, the Jays.

Our arch rivals are the Columbia Hickman High School Kewpies. Yes, that's right, the Kewpies.

Jeff City and Hickman have the oldest continuous high school football rivalry west of the Mississippi River.

Mine: Irmo High School Yellow Jackets (Gold and Black, football unis are nearly carbon copies of the Pittsburgh Steelers' unis)

Rival: everyone hates us, biggest ones are Lexington Wildcats (Blue and Gold), Dutch Fork Silver Foxes (Green and Silver), and Spring Valley Vikings (Green and Gold).

Hey...Irmo! :D I'll just leave out any mention of the 2002 state championship. But yeah, I have a lot of friends here that went to Irmo.

Stevenson HS (Lincolnshire, IL), rivals are Libertyville HS Wildcats and Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL)

Just last Friday, we played Warren-- both of us were undefeated, and in the same conference, and whoever won got a 1 seed in the IHSA 8A Playoffs. Anyways, the game goes into double overtime, SHS blocks their PAT and scores their own, we win 35-34. Best Game Ever. Also: Pretty cool sig, huh?

I know a few guys that went to Warren. One played football graduated in 2000 and another wrestled and graduated in 2000 as well.
