John in KY Posted November 4, 2005 Share Posted November 4, 2005 They interviewed Sam Madison (who had his number retired tonight) on the sidelines earlier and he said something like "We finally got the black jerseys we wanted when I played (in 1993-96)."Since I'm UofL Class of 1984, I should remind him the team wore black jerseys from 1981 to 1984 (including black helmets in 1983/84) and never won more than 5 games in any season. I agree these would be okay with the white pants. Also i kinda liked the WV white pants combo last night but it is true when you think WV you think the yellow pants home and away. They had been wearing all navy at home for a while have'nt they ?That's why I liked the white pants you all probably know by now I'm a anti- monochromer. Yeah but thats a bit different. Im wearing all red to destroy San Francisco's plans of pushing the "Red Fog" for the fans at the Niners-Bucs game last sunday. Black was the only way i could go, but it obviously didnt work. Plus, Cardinals are red. Honestly I dont really dislike the all black look, but it just kinda reminds me of av bird caught in an oil spill. The white helmet with red face mask really sticks out against all black.
