Shumway
I have a ketchup stain from an angry Phillies fan from the Vet. I guess it was a mistake to wear a Jim Edmonds jersey the week after Rolen was traded. It's not really anything special, but it reminds me of the good ol' Vet. andrewharrington
Among the hottest Stadium Memorabilia ever are bench sections from the Dawg Pound in old Cleveland Stadium. Seats, as well, but everybody was all over the original Dawg Pound bleachers when they were removed and sold. My Dad almost got some, but to no avail. A bunch of restaurants in the Cleveland area have them as their waiting chairs in the lobby. I still don't have a website, but I have a dribbble now! http://dribbble.com/andyharry [The postings on this site are my own and do not necessarily represent the position, strategy or opinions of adidas and/or its brands.]
DiLo756
Hello all - longtime lurker here, occasional poster. We also got some Cleveland Stadium stuff when it was unfortunately closed. My family and I attended the "Final Play" and got one seat (yellow, seat 1, row D) and two Dawg Pound planks. I also bought a small section sign, grabbed some loose concrete from a wall, and scooped some dirt from the warning track. BTW, Tempest, I attend Ohio U. also (Riverpark Towers, yo). Gotta love Athens in the fall...
njmeadowlanders
I have a hunk of Shea Stadium...but that's more a result of the stadium falling apart than acquiring the way most of you got your pieces...
NickSixers
After thinking about this, I have quite the Veterans Stadium collection.-A plaque with the old pre-NeXturf Astroturf-Box of NeXturf-Dirt-Piece of the outfield wall-A sign from the vomitory that says to be aware of foul balls-One folding chair with the Vet Last Season Phillies logo-An end pair of seats with the Vet logo-Small piece of pre-implosion rubble-Stole a brick from the construction of Citizens Bank Park, so it kind of counts-One pair of grey club seats from Lincoln Financial Field (but lets keep that on the DL.)All obtained legitimately. Hopefully someday I'd love to make a basement or something with all my stuff. One thing I never got was the small section sign from the section my Phillies season tickets were in at the Vet, but it was sold before I could buy it at the Vet sale. rainmaker17
Man...I used to work in Texas Stadium...I should have taken something from there...maybe one of the hundreds of mushrooms that grow in that nasty turf of theirs...that place was really disgusting. Was really disgusting? Ha! It's still a major craphole. They won't fix anything because they're leaving in '09. Cool you got to work there. I'm going to try and snag the seats I sat in for seven years when they demolish the place.
FiddySicks
I tried to snag the "P" from the PACIFIC BELL PARK sign when they switched it to SBC PARK but i got caught and chewed out by a city worker. I dont know what the hell i would have done with a giant "P" but it would have been cool to have. Ive thought about it quite a bit afterwards too. Even if i had gotten it, how the hell would i have looked Inconspicuous with a giant "P" in my arms? How would taht look to see a guy with a big letter getting onto BArt? Evan
Me and my family went to one of the last games ever at Milweaukee County Stadium. AS we were leaving we wanted to take something that was a part of county stadium. So we looked around I kicked a crumbling brick and took a piece. So now in my display case I have a piece of County stadium.. I taste pretty good to... j/kAnyone else have any piece of a stadium (sounds odd) thats pretty cool, we got some stuff from MCS too-last bag of baloons in Bernie's Beer Mug thingy (so the sign says)-a brick-a bag of peanuts (i dont know why we still hold on to those)-4 Green seats (were those general admission seats?)-the blue outfield wall tarp "362" for the movie Major League when it was filmed here-the control switch (soemthing like that its called) board from the ol' scoreboard area
CZzyzx41
Man, only thing I got was a little piece of dirt from Qualcomm Stadium that the Padres gave away inside their last pin during the 2003 season. I really should go to an Aztecs game and try grabbing something else. Last time I was there I was about 10 yards from a bunch of old Padres signage. That was late last year. Didn't have the guts to try. Besides, those signs are huge for one guy to carry. -DanielCheck Out My Podcast!
