Cujo
Good call by Young, but why did he say he was staying in Austin for his senior season a couple months back if he wasn't going to honor his word?
Sodboy13
It's called "Gary Barnett Syndrome" and is a common ailment in the collegiate athletic ranks.By the way, does anyone else think Vince Young is the definition of "college quarterback?" I mean that in the sense that college is the peak showcase for a player of his talents, and when it comes time to shine in the NFL, it just ain't gonna happen. See also: Woodrow Dantzler, Josh Heupel, Gino Torretta, Eric Crouch, Charlie Ward, oh how the list does go on and on....
See Red
Good call by Young, but why did he say he was staying in Austin for his senior season a couple months back if he wasn't going to honor his word? Because that was a few months ago. Things change and he has to look out for his own best interest.Vince Young is the best QB in the draft. You have to worry about Leinart's decision making in close games this year,

Why he coudn't just wait to make the announcment is all I'm wondering.

He'd have probably gone back if he was still expected to go around 10.

TFoA
Charlie Ward To me, Charlie Ward don't count because he decided to play basketball. But other than that, you made some good points. But Vince Young looks too good to just be a bust in the NFL.
winghaz
With Young in there, this could make for one of the most interesting NFL drafts in a long time.
rmered
Ryan Leaf looked a fantastic QB in college. So did Rick Mirer.Good luck to the kid, but he going to find out he's going to be a very little fish in a very big pond.
PeytonManningRocks
Well, I hope the Texans and Titans don't draft him so we don't have to face him twice a year.... maybe he'll be another Michael Vick.....great runner, terrible passer.
KevinMcD
Young will probably go #2(NO), #3(TEN) or #4(NYJ) after Bush, Leinart, Fergeson?A few weeks ago he was expected to go around 10 or 12.This is better than taking a Dance class like Leinart and risking injury.
