I think the db logo could use some improving, mainly getting rid of the space between the d and b. (Image)I love the Reds' new Olde Tyme looking font.19 of the 30 teams will be making some kind of a change to their game attire for next season. Some things, like the Sox and 'Stros dropping their WS and anniversary patch is a given, but there are many other things, some unexpected. Save the slugalo. I also like the alt *db" in the shape of a shake ( dont know what type of snake lol ) Really reminds me of houston but still great.The reds are great as well.The only problem i have is the reds and d-backs numbers look very simular. That being said, the new Reds font makes it seem like they are trying too hard to be old fashioned. It isn't just retro, it looks like they want to be the 1869 Cincinnati Red Stockings. I would ditch the A logo though, it doesn't seem to fit with anything else. After seeing it in visual form, I'd have to say that the colors work together, even if they're the Astros colors. The "db" is genius, and fits perfectly as a sleeve logo (and it wouldn't surprise me if it ends up somewhere on their BP unis. The script "D-backs" is original as well, and it's good to see a change.Reds: What can I say, it's beautiful. It's definitle something deserving of one of the oldest baseball franchises around. The old time road script is great, and the amount of black is miniscule and works well. I mean, come on, sometimes colors need something to complement the primary color. A few questions/ideas:- Based on the fact that there are no pinstripes behind the "home" jersey lettering area, is it safe to assume the Reds will use a plain white jersey with some sort of piping?- For the ones who see a similarity between the Reds and D-backs numbers, I see what you mean, but to an extent. All in all, I like both of these designs, the only change I would make would be to change the D-backs brick to either a deep, burnt orange to copper shade. Love the old fashioned font on Cincinnati and the numbers/names. Perfect for the original MLB team. Love the updated old Mr. Red logo--never really cared for the one they've been using the past 30 years or so. Looks like, from Mr. Red, that there won't be much or any stripes/piping--maybe it'll be a clean look.I don't mind the black as minor shadowing/trim, but I don't like the black alternate cap existing. I fear it'll be used too much. Make it go away. Here's hoping the bill is red on the red cap.I wish Mr. Red were used as front jersey logo on red alternate instead of just sleeve. He would look fantastic that large.Overall, this Reds diehard marks a homerun on his scorecard (and not the Adam Dunn type--nobody on, having already struck out three times previously in the game).Again, I'd love to see a mockup of the new Reds unis, and D'backs as well. Since I doubt they would bring it back, blue is really the only option they have left, and that's a good thing.
