If OBJ leaves in the offseason I'd say that cements wrong uniform status.
DCarp1231
Are we ever going to stop posting pictures of players immediately after they sign with or get trade to a new team? It doesn’t make any sense. Especially if said player still has years left to play, like Von Miller and Russell Wilson 4

Especially if said player still has years left to play, like Von Miller and Russell Wilson I disagree with Von Miller, his peak was with the Broncos and he was the face of their defense for a decade. A few years on the Bills isn't going to change that. Russell Wilson could be different depending on how well he does in Denver, but the Super Bowl with the Seahawks is going to be hard to surpass. But after all, he is remembered more in college at Wisconsin than NC State.

mcj882000
Since he's been the talk of "baseball internet" this week/month, off the heels of Secret Base's superb 4-part documentary on his career wrapping up earlier this week, here's Blue Jays legend Dave Stieb during his 4-game stint with the White Sox in 1993.

GrayJ12
Not a uniform per se, but the King Richard Petty failing to qualify in his famous 43 car at the 1986 Coca-Cola 600 (one of NASCAR's crown jewel races) and having to buy a car to get him into the show has always been very interesting to look back on. VandyDelphia Mike
Shawn Bradley never wore this number as a 76er, instead wearing his height. 7'6" Must have had a 45 made for photo op purposes post-draft. 2 Quote NCAA Baseball Champions | 2014, 2019 facebook

I think the point of this thread is for players of the past, whom you think of in certain uniforms (and not in other uniforms). For active players, their stories are still being written. There's no way to know immediately after a player changes teams whether that player's new uniform is ultimately going to count as the "wrong" uniform for him. When Gretzky was traded to Los Angeles, the idea of his having left Edmonton was unthinkable. But the Kings uniform eventually became one of the right ones for him. 7
Echo
I can see posting active players who are winding out long careers with new teams. We know those aren't going to end up being their "right" uniforms. Mayfield and McCaffrey are both pretty young. If either of them end up staying with those teams for the rest of their career or win a Super Bowl or two there, those could easily be "right" uniforms for them.
