DG_ThenNowForever
I'm off to bed. Giants, great game. You played your hearts out and you deserved the win. However, if I hear one more person on campus call this the "greatest upset in sports history", I might explode.Congrats!I'm with you on that. Not even close.Ditto. I was just talking with my brother about that tonight. Chaminade/Virginia, Nova/Georgetown, NC State/Georgetown, USA/Russia and George Mason/UConn were all bigger. The Giants had been by far the hottest team through the playoffs, and I definitely thought they could win. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Alphabet Man
Well, its one of the best upsets ive seen in sports. Not sure about greatest, buts its up there with Steve Bradbury and the like. Has anyone brought out the choker tag? No? Okay, I'm calling the Pats a bunch of chokers. Couldn't handle the pressure and the Giants excelled under the big-game pressure. That is all. twitter.com/thebrainofMatt

But an undefeated NFL team against a wild card team? That's HUGE. Very arguably the biggest. And trust me, I feel the pain, as the Patriots beating (rhymes with another word...) the Rams in 36 was often labled that huge upset and it killed me.But seriously? FiddySicks
Im kinda torn on this game. The majority of it was probably one of the most worthless games i've ever seen. 7-3 at halftime was downright pitiful. There were two of the most epic plays i've probably ever seen in a super bowl, and that definately raised the level of excitement, but for me its nowhere near the best Super Bowl i've ever seen. Sice he came into the league i've been really back and fourth on Eli Manning. At first I was a big fan, but then I saw some of his on field decision making and kinda gave up on him. This playoff run he just led proves to me that Eli is definately the stud he was made out to be, and I gotta respect that. sacker12
I believe that 4th quarter even topped the Rams-Titans game. That was easily the best all-around Super Bowl that I have ever seen. It even tops Elway's 1st Super Bowl against the Packers.

What's obviously bigger.I see where you're coming from but keep in mind that The Patriots only beat The Giants by three in the regular season. I think that alone makes this much less of an upset than it's being made out to be. It's not like no one picked The Giants to win. But if you want some examples of bigger upsets here a couple that happened just a few months ago.App. State over MichiganStanford over USCSo no, I don't think this was that big a deal. Everyone knew The Giants were capable of winning the game. Just because a bunch of gangsters in Vegas decided they needed a reason to get people to bet on The Giants doesn't make this some historical event. Hell, half the people I saw pick the game on TV today picked The Giants.

No? Okay, I'm calling the Pats a bunch of chokers. Couldn't handle the pressure and the Giants excelled under the big-game pressure. That is all.I wouldn't call the Pats chokers. First of all the Giants were hot all throughout the playoffs, and were clearly a good team. It's not like the Patriots were playing the Rams or anything Secondly, they were just outplayed and out-coached. I didn't see it as choking, they just played a team who was more prepared and wanted the win more than they did. Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool Check out my music! ShinyHubCaps
I don't like New York... I guess I just don't like Eli Manning, and the Manning Super Bowl tradition lives on. I also didn't watch most of the game (only the last NY drive, actually), and it sounds like I didn't miss much. So regardless of being the biggest upset in Super Bowl history, it wasn't a phenomenal game from what I've heard. You have to respect the Giants, though, for pulling a Steelers and showing that the Wild Card isn't worthless.
