McCall
I think Ankiel AND Ludwick could easily make the team this year. They've both been having great seasons. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
Neon_Matrix
I think Alfonso Soriano could crack the roster due to his performance since his return from injury... AJM
Derrek Lee over A.Gonzales, Utley over Phillips, rest looks good. Billy B
I think Alfonso Soriano could crack the roster due to his performance since his return from injury...No way Soriano should be an all-star, even though he is either in the top 3 of outfielder voitng or right there. He's been hitting home runs, but he can't run and that has been hurting the Cubs a lot. Both on the bases and in the outfield, his lack of mobility should keep him off the All-Star roster. Plus, it seems whenever his in in the outfield he is never in a hurry to get the ball back in.

If the ASG were going down today, he wouldn't make my team .... nor would Jay Bruce, yet. I'm calling it right now, Bruce wins the Last Man In or whatever they call that contest. And seriously, Kurt Suzuki in and Derrek Lee out??
koizim
Am I the only one noticing the absence of A-Rod and Derek Jeter? It's a fan vote, also known as a popularity contest. The fans will vote both in as starters. That's why it needs to be the writers that vote (oh, whoops, wrong argument). And how in the hell do you leave out Chase Utley? Sorry, man, but your predictions are going to be miserably wrong. Engine, Engine, Number Nine, on the New York transit line, If my train goes off the track, pick it up! Pick it up! Pick it up! oakland ehs
There's probably a better A's choice than Kurt Suzuki considering they have the 2nd or 3rd best staff in the majors thus far.
WJMorris3
Utley's out based on his defense. As it is, A-Rod and Jeter don't deserve to be there this year either. Also, Adrian Gonzales right now has to stay in, he's the only Padre.

Also, Adrian Gonzales right now has to stay in, he's the only Padre.I'm not saying that A-Rod and Jeter deserve to be there, I'm saying that the fans will vote them in despite the fact that they don't deserve it. A perfect example of this would be Kevin Youkilis having a 201,857 vote lead over Justin Morneau for the starting spot for the AL at 1B. randyc
I'd be giving Aaron Hill, Alex Rios and Matt Stairs some consideration but that's just meWhy Rios? He doesn't deserve to go at all this year. Hill is .263/2/20, while Rios is only .263/3/23. None of the Blue Jays hitters really deserve to go right now. I could see Litsch, Halladay, and Ryan being the Blue Jays representatives however. Shumway
I'd love to see Casey Kotchman get a spot at 1B in the AL. Pena may be hitting HRs, but he's batting .220, as opposed to Kotch's .321, best among AL 1B. On top of that, Kotchman's a great defender, and although lacking in the HR department, he's only 1 RBI behind Pena.
RyanB06
Somebody forgot Dustin Pedroia plays 2B in the AL. He'll make it over Jose Lopez. If he's not elected, he'll be a manager's addition. (Terry Francona is managing the AL All-Stars, in case y'all forgot.) Also, Adrian Gonzales right now has to stay in, he's the only Padre. But you currently have no Phillies on the All-Star team....Utley's leading the NL in homeruns. Since Cincinnati's already got a representative in the game (Volaquez), switch Brandon Phillips for Utley. When was the last time a player was snubbed for the All-Star Game because of defense? I know Utley is MLB's equal to Notre Dame in your eyes, but use simple logic here. The All-Star Game is a showcase for the best pitchers and hitters in the game. Simply put, defense doesn't mean for the All-Star Game. Guys with good gloves won't get elected if they're carrying a .240 average, 2 HR's, 15 RBI's, and other mediocre batting stats. The Nation
ummm...The Blue Jays have the #1 pitching staff in the majors. Halladay has 5 complete games. Shaun Marcum is 3rd in Era, and 1st in Whip. I'd say 4 Blue Jays pitchers should go.
GottaDeal
You are missing Ben Sheets. He'll definitely be selected as one of the NL pitchers.
