With a name like "Thunder," the logo should have a red/white/blue bsaketball in it.

And some nifty MS Word clipart.

And motion lines.

You know, to convey... well, motion.

I am curious to see how they visually depict a sound effect that generally doesn't have any sort of visual motion, such as thunder. It's not like a fart, where you just draw a couple lines and a little cloud behind a guy's rear end.....

(I do realize that this example DOES have visual motion, but I still think it's kinda funny.)

Are any other anti-Clay Bennett people here excited that they didn't choose a good nickname for OKC?

Although, it'll just change anyway when Bennett sells it to Kansas City investors in 2016.

From the comments on the practice jersey logo over on the site:

yep I was watching a summer league game and they had this logo on their jerseys. Especially Kevin Durant.
What are you talking about? What do you mean "especially Kevin Durant"? Did he wear this logo more or better than everyone else?

I'm sorry. This was grand.

The guy who broke the story on the name being Thunder is now saying the colors will be Red, light blue, and dark blue.

Well thank God for that. We don't have enough teams with various shades of blue. Or red jerseys, for that matter. They can kill two birds with one (unoriginal) stone.

The Heat, Spurs, Blazers, and Sixers are the only teams with black road uniforms. The Bulls have a black alt. The Timberwolves had a black alt last season. And the Raptors are getting a black alt this year. Black is very minimal, it's definitely cut down since the 90s, youre right. They switched it out for navy blue. Navy blue hails in the new millenium!!

I think the NBA forgot Black is a great primary color. What is there three black jersey besides the thirds.

In addition, I think that the NBA--no, pro sports in general...forgot that GREEN is also a great primary color.

GREEN.

At this point, let's just trade out red for navy in the NBA logo and call it a day, okay?

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.
