TruColor
This is apparently a "new" secondary logo for 2008-2009:Similar to the older style, but has a horizontal line in it - as opposed to the older logo:I'm struck by the sloppiness of this new secondary. It really looks amaturish to me.
Ez Street
I just don't get why they bring that back. Hell pay a few bucks and have it updated a bit. I'm sure it's doable. @DavidStreeter
walkerws
I really don't think it's sloppier. It's just a difference of the rest of the wordmark really making that logo. ut since it is a secondary mark, the team must have decided to not finish it. I would say it looks incomplete, not sloppy but I see exactly where you are coming from.
Audiodrama
Wow. Way to horribly mix-and-match. Great job, Utah.
Cujo
Thanks, but no thanks, Utah. The Jazz need to go back to purple if they're going to start digging up old logos.*patiently awaits unoriginal 'FAIL' pic*
Max Power
Not good. It doesn't work without the whole wordmark and it doesn't really fit with their current look. Why did they do this? Do they still use the basketball snowflake secondary logo? I thought that was decent.

Get back to your roots, embrace heritage, and lose the extraneous complications (i.e. mountains, snowflakes, action font)...And before anyone says that the old logo can't work in today's NBA, i'll refer you to the OKC thread and the gales of laughter it provides. Brian in Boston
Miserable. It screams, "Bastardized 1970s design!" Hard to believe, but it is even more hideous than the original Purple, Yellow and Green monstrosity.
hecticbro
That looks awful. It's got no balance to it, and it would totally clash with the style of the rest of their brand.
Hoopskid
Also, the UJ secondary they had is now gone. So basically they traded UJ for a note JAnd, colowerx, didn't you recolor something very similar to this?

Carter23
i'd like it on its own i guess, but as sodboy said, thy do really have way too many logos/scripts that don't matchdoes anyone know how they are gonna use this? on the shorts, above the name, just on merch? eRay
The lines seem off in this, somehow. The Light Blue section of the ball seems to be higher up than the Silver part. The note part of the logo doesn't connect to the ball smoothly, and the little piece underneath where the note meets the basketball really bothers me. Also, some of the curves on the note part of the logo look weird. I don't know if this is the official file or not, but if it is it does look very sloppy. They basically recolored the old note and added a horizontal line to make the basketball correct.Amazingly lazy, but I guess when the team's last logo change was a recolor, it makes sense. Krona
if theyre gonna use this, why not replace the grey with the purple used in the primary? at least make the grey light blue. i like to see the note, but it could be redone to match the new style.
