It actually looked way better than I expected. The metallic trim really looked sharp on TV.

That being said... BURN THEM!

This only seems big enough for this thread, but I saw Yadier Molina wearing the Cool Flo batting helmet today.

I was just about to post that the Cards had switched when I realized that nobody else seems to be wearing them.

Is this a players option now, or what?

I'm glad the Cardinals haven't switched in full, but seeing Yadi's (not that it's the first time--they've been wearing them in the ASG the last couple of years), but it doesn't look that bad.

The Jays are going to wear a TED memorial patch all season for the late Ted Rogers. The Jays will also where a patch of a red maple leaf outlined in blue all season because the 'new' president wants to promote the Jays as Canada's team, and get the maple leaf back on their jerseys somehow. I'm watching the game and I have to say both patches look horribly out of place. The TED patch is outlined in red instead of blue for some reason, and a big red maple leaf looks terrible on the Jays current uniforms.

EDIT: I just saw that this was already posted 2 pages ago, but just reaffirming how brutal these patches look.

The new Rangers alternate jerseys in action:

Even though I hate the fact that it says Texas, and it still looks weird to see the Rangers in red...I gotta admit, they looked NICE in that red.

Those red patches do look really awkward, especially on the home uniforms. There is hardly/no visible red or black on the uniforms themselves.

So for some strange reason the A's are wearing their home batting helmets vs the Angels today in Anaheim.

I got to see these in person - they look brutal. The 'TED' patch is outlined in red to offset the very red patch on the other side.

In addition, I got to see the new replicas... and man... printed tackle twill is awful on a baseball jersey. Not worth the $119 they are asking for them. The customization is just as awful...

The new Nats road jerseys in action:

something old and new school about that look, i likely

It looks completely half-assed. No beveling on the front anywhere, but it's on the back numbers? Ugh. Add to that the fact that the back numbers are the only place where gold and a think navy piping around those numerals appears, and it's just off.

Front gets a B, back gets a C, the combo gets a D. Pick a number style and stick with it.

PLUS- predominantly red and grey road uniforms, but navy cap and socks. Dumb. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb. If you want to do this, then add a red brim or piping around the W on the cap, then it's not so jarring, but this entire road set looks and feels like an afterthought.
