Please tell me they did not just praise the "strong fundamental play" of a Catcher who is credited with a throwing error in the same game.

Is it just me, but have the Rays steadily regressed on defense throughout the playoffs?

They went from being basically perfect in the ALDS to what just happened here.

EDIT: Phillies win. LOL @ that entire 9th inning, especially Longoria's last throw. This WS has really delivered on entertainment.

It's also getting a little foggy - I can usually see the tops of the skyscrapers from my bedroom, but tonight I can't even see the red "airplane" lights.

...and now I can see them again. All is right in the world again.

I'm facing West, so I have no reference point.

I can, however, hear all of the college drunks shouting.

So this must be what being in the World Series is like.

They're in my street right now. For the last three innings, I didn't even need to have my TV on to know exactly what was happening. Dammit - I should have been one of those drunks tonight...

EDIT: and here come the beeping car horns. It's not going to be easy getting up for work in a few hours. Fortunately, I should be able to get in an hour or hour and a half nap in the club once I get to the stadium.

Apparently Tim McGraw spread some of Tug McGraw's ashes on the pitchers mound prior to the game.

lol Tug had to find a way to be there.

That's bloody awesome.

There are three people for whom winning a World Series would honor -- Tug, John Vukovich, and of course, Richie Ashburn.

I hate to say this because I hate the Phillies but it looks like they have a mojo going.

The wind knocks down Longoria's blast, and then the Ryas defense unravels in the 9th.

The baseball Gods are very kind with the Phillies...

They are helped by some good luck and bad umpiring. :D

Game 4, bottom 3rd, 2 on, 0 out, Phils 1-0 up.

Wow... long time ago since I saw a home run hit by... a pitcher.

Blanton blasted one and the Phillies are winning 6-2. This game is going phantastic.
