So that makes 2 tacos?

2 different taco bells = 2 free taco's?

I was JUST talking to someone about that. Sounds like I'm gonna have to make a taco run tomorrow.

It's not until Sunday, I think. The 28th, whatever day that is.

Tuesday.

Ahhh, yes. I'm still waiting for a 'steal a base, get a free calendar' promotion.

Here's this for those curious... http://www.tacobell.com/stealabasestealataco/

Going to be tough for the Rays with Lidge on the mound to close it out. Top of the lineup up for the Phillies, maybe they can squeeze across an insurance run. I imagine Balfour stays in to pitch the 9th.

Not World Series related, but no sense bumping up another baseball thread. Red Sox shortstop Jed Lowrie had been playing, since May, with a broken wrist. And playing relatively well. Ballsy.

I knew we couldn't go nine innings without the Red Sox getting mentioned! :P

I was scouring the internet for stories just to try and get them mentioned... ^_^

Figured I'd share because I think it's a neat story at least. I mean, he wasn't particularly great this year but he did play fairly well despite the ailment.

And again the Phillies can't take advantage of men on with < 2 outs. And again, Ryan Howard is right in the middle of it. Hard to win games without timely hitting.

I sincerely hope Brad Lidge closes this thing out. I'd hate for him to go back into the funk that Pujols sent him into a few years back.

Philly should have plated at least one runner last inning. There's really no excuse for all these runners LOB and only having 3 runs to show for it.

I can see the Rays getting to Lidge here. If not a solo-shot, a walk-off. Just a gut feeling.

That's been their M.O. this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see it either.

One down, though.

edit: Lidge is dealin'... two down on K's.

Hey, who from the Phillies would be the DH?
Game 1: Backup catcher, Chris Coste.

Really?

I don't mind putting Coste in the lineup, but why not put Coste at 1st and DH Howard? Coste at DH means that if anything happens to Ruiz, you're putting Werth behind the plate.

This is not true. They could move Coste to catcher - they'd just lose the DH and have to either hit the pitcher, or manage it like a NL game.

Rays didn;t capitalize when they should've, Phillies did. Both teams left a lot of opportunities out there, but some of Phila's fundamental moves to get that third run really impressed me. Good game. I still think that past Hamels Philly is toast, but a great start nonetheless.
