Jamie Moyer is pissed, and says that when he was negotiating his contract, he was told that he wouldn't get put in the 'pen if he sucked. He thinks the Phillies mislead him.

It's a shame, but he's just going to end up getting released, or retiring (though for that much money, he'd be a fool to retire.) I can't see him as an effective reliever, and now he's pissed off.

Well that seems like a really stupid promise to make.

Is Toronto considered Pittsburgh north? Can we demote both these franchises to AAA level?

Toronto's won 2 World Series, 2 division titles, had 4 Cy Young Winners, a Rookie of the Year, and have had 9 winning seasons since Pittsburgh last had ONE winning season. Yeah, those Blue Jays suck. :P

Yeah. Okay Raider fan. No one cares what you did 20 years ago, what matters is today and tomorrow, and the Blue Jays are a franchise about as confused as Pittsburgh.

I'd argue we're even MORE confused than Pitt. Doesn't mean we're even close to being as bad as them.

Pretty much. AAA management, unlike the Pirates who are currently a AAA team. :P

How about we consider that Toronto is in a division with 3 of the best teams in baseball, while Pittsburgh is in an average division at best.

I'm sick and tired of hearing "Yeah well we're in the AL East" as an excuse. Every time I hear Ricciardi say that it makes me want to punch him in his giant bird-nose. Last year Tampa had 20% of the payroll of the Yankees, 32% of the Red Sox, and even 44% of the Jays payroll, and still blew past all 3 teams.

The key is developing and trading for GOOD players. Not signing Corey Koskie, BJ Ryan, Frank Thomas, Vernon Wells, and Alex Rios.

Kevin Youkilis fights like a girl.

How dare you say such a thing about the greatest player ever?

(personally I think he looks like he should be starring in gay porn videos)

Liar.

You know damn well that the "greatest player ever" only wears a Cardinals jersey.....

What's even worse than the way he fights (there is no safe way to describe the way he fights without insulting someone), the big softy that he is got his butt taken down and should have his butt suspended the rest of the season by the Red Sox for not only throwing his helmet, but being taken down by a 20 year old rookie who was backing up. What a complete embarrassment the Red Sox have become in the last week. First Big Steroid, then the sweep by the Yankees, now you gets hit with a 3 point take down. If they don't see the post season this year, this will go down with some of the epic collapses, such as the Mets a few years ago, the Angels in '95 or was that 97, and of course the Cubbies.
