Man, Malkin needs to learn how to fight. It is crazy to see that both him and Capn' seem to think that by pushing and punching another player in the back of the head constitutes a fight. Sheesh. You'd think Laraque would have taught them a thing or two during his time there.

And Malkin goes berzerk with 18 seconds left.

Lessee...I'm not sure your effort to set a tone will bear fruit.

Talbot should feel lucky he didn't find himself on his ass after that poke to Osgood.

Did Osgood "over sell" that poke?

-Dan

When it's directed towards your throat, it's hard to overreact.

WTF are you talking about? It hit him in the hands. It never went above the crest of his jersey.

Yea it look like he poked him in the arm to move the puck.

Pushing and throwing punches while still hanging on to his stick. Great job, Malkin.

I agree, as a Pens fan the one thing I am most worried about is Malkin's ability to fight. If he can't figure out how to properly throw down before Tuesday, the series is as good as over.

It seems people that are on this board are experts on fighting on ice.

You should teach professional players how to do it.

Maybe you can write a book called "10 Essential Practices for Professional Players In Order To Please Fans", since no one seems to like what NHL players do these days.

Agreed. In my opinion, one of the hardest things to do out there. I tried it a few times and it was very difficult. Even the best look like novices once in a while.

So bigger question.

Does the NHL have the stones to suspend Malkin for the Instigator?

Or will their desire to see the Cup awarded on NBC prompt them to conclude that the Penguins could have scored twice in 18 seconds and therefore the game was not "already over?"

I am surprised by the Pens seemingly inability to play better hockey. I honestly thought they would take Game 1 and really set the tone for a tight fought series. I expected Crosby and Malkin to both have two goals apiece by now. Not that I don't like seeing it this way, being a Wings' fan, but expected so much more from the Pens.

Also glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks Pierre Maguire's an idiot.

Answer: They don't!

Alright folks...the message is clear. I expect a full on melee at the end of Game 3. If an official is not being used as a makeshift club, I am disappointed in all of you.

I can't remember being less interested in a stanley cup finals. That is all.

Agreed.

After the great series we had in the Conference Quarters and the EPIC series we had in the Conference Semis, the Conference Finals and Stanley Cup have been kind of a let down.

I don't think I've been even slightly interested in any games since Ducks-Wings Game 7. And that's not because the Ducks aren't in it, I usually watch all the way through no matter the result. (Although I personally think that Ducks-Wings Game 7 was the Stanley Cup Final right there. Especially looking at how the Wings are running through the Hawks/Pens... That is probably the most frustrating part. Knowing that this full well could be the Ducks on their way to Cup #2, but oh well. Tis not to be this season)

Pens-Canes was utterly one-sided and emotionless.

Wings-Hawks was kinda close score wise but not series-wise, and the animosity that this rivalry was supposed to bring lacked, and of course that 6-1 game didn't help any.

If the Pens can take their next two at home, slightly interested. If it goes back to Detroit 3-1 or they sweep, not a chance I'm watching.
