DG_ThenNowForever
I'm beginning to think Peter King is off his rocker. SI's annual NFL Preview issue is out and though their own scouting report echoes what everybody else is saying - namely the Saints' offense is great and if the D picks it up to even average, look out - King has the Saints at 7-9 and finishing 3rd in the division. He's sucked down the Falcon kool-aid though, picking them to take the division at 10-6 even though they lost 5 defensive starters, have looked awful on D in the preseason, and did far less in the off-season to shore up their D than the Saints did. Plus the fact the Saints D has shown some results, forcing 9 turnovers and limiting opponents to less than 10 points a game so far (yes, it's preseason but that's better than no results at all). Now I'm not pretending to be an objective observer here but his take just strikes me as ridiculous. P.S. This is post #2500. Took me 4 years to get there.Congrats on your post #2500. Peter King has been more worried about hotels, Starbucks consistency and flights for the last 3 years while Jay Glazer gets the scoops by talking to more players and GMs.That's funny. And you forgot field hockey. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Had to laugh when a guy called him out on it, saying something like how annoying it is when his "left-leaning drivel bleeds through." I was surprised King actually included that in his next column with the response, "Point noted" or some such.
In 5..4..3..2..1
Peter King is really nobody when it comes to predictions however he is right on with the Saints. The Saints are a 8-8 9-7 7-9 team. They could go a game either side of .

Im still perplexed by thatI was watching pre season game highlights vs Kansas City where a Chiefs RB broke off a three yard loss for a 50 yard gain. It's the only time I've ever seen a play where the ball carrier would've gone down easier had the tacklers not been on the field. EDIT: And now Buffalo fired their Offensive Coordinator. Cujo
NFL commish Roger Goodell stated today that there will most likely be no salary cap in 2010. StoryI would really hate to see this happen. The NFL salary cap creates parody, which IMO is very good for the game. Plus, the very last thing we need are for the Cowboys and Patriots to become the Yankees and Red Sox of football -- or worse, seeing them face eachother in Super Bowl XLV. Jigga
If the cap goes away in 2010, there's gonna be a lockout in 2011. It's not gonna be pretty. However, I guaran-damn-tee that Roger Goodell will get a pass for his league's labor strife as opposed to openly calling for death by firing squad for Gary Bettman and especially Bud Selig. KevinMcD
Schonert is gone, thank god. Should have been fired after last season. Alex Van Pelt is the new OC, former QB Coach, and former backup QB for the Bills. Good move, I love it.Also, the Bills trade Safety Ko Simpson to Detroit for an undisclosed pick next year. They probably would have cut him anyways, so a good trade in my opinion.

TFoA
Hah, I remember watching that live and thinking "Wow...that is AMAZINGLY bad defense." I can understand it being a broken play and anything can happen, but he should've been tackled for a loss, let alone him actually getting a first down. That's honestly some of the worst defense I've ever seen. With that said, I sill don't see why people bother predicting the NFL. You'd think with the parity that's hit the NFL over this past decade, people would stop making predictions. It's easier to predict the exact winner of the lottery than to predict who's going to win the Super Bowl year in and year out in this day and age.
