TO had a great game in the SB but so what and remember that was the 1st year he was there . What did he get for that? Nothing and look what he did to the Cowboys they got progressively worse every year he was there. Always blaming his Pro Bowl QB's as the problem. Boldin did nothinh for the Cards during their playoff run and guided them to a an unbelieveable 9-7 record during the regular season. Plaxico is a cancer always late for meetings, showing up late or not at all for practices. I'd rather have a team of hard workers with avg. to above avg. talent than a team of highly talented diva types that don't show up and work hard all the time bottom line.

You do realize Boldin is one of the hardest working players on and off the field. Just because he wants a new contract and the way he acted with Haley shouldn't have any effect what he does on the field. He was out for 4 games after a gruesome hit and yet did have a nice season. I don't think Boldin is even close to being a cancer in the locker room and there are other players on the team that praise him for his hard work and being a leader in the locker room.

Jagodzinski Dismissed

Sep 03, 2009 -

The Buccaneers announced today that they have dismissed Offensive Coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski.

Quarterbacks Coach Greg Olson has been promoted to offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach.

Uggh, I think I'm gonna be sick. We might as well wear the 76 throwback unis all year long, I can't see us winning more than a game or two now.

Sucks to be Jagodzinski. IIRC, he's the dude who got fired by Boston College just for interviewing with the Jets. I'm sure this won't be his last gig, and will just return to the college ranks.

And Bucfan, no need to pull an Tnak. Tampa will be just fine without him. I mean it's Jeff Jagodzinski we're taking about here.

I'd rather have wins than losses. Football isn't the place for ideologies.

Tampa will be just fine...

You are seriously the only person I have heard say that this preseason.

Way to take things out of context, chief. ;)

I think we all know the Bucs will be sitting at home this January. I'm just sayin' the loss of Jagodzinski won't make a big of difference in long run, especially as far as grooming Freeman is concerned. Really, it's better to cut him loose now rather than later.

Cutler is a dink and Marshall is a turd plain and simple. You watch I bet you Denver is at least as good as last year and next year they will be even better.

Said like a true Denver fan. I think it's time to put down the orange Kool-Aid and get a grip on reality. The Broncos have no talent on offense... ZERO! Orton is only an NFL starter because the Bears D and Rex Grossman made him look a hell of a lot better than he actually is. Knowshon's already banged up and has "BUST" written all over him. And who exactly is Orton even passing to with Brandon Marshall off the team?? It will truly be a moracle if Denver gets six wins a season as long as that prick-of-a-head coach is running the show.

It was much better when Denver was the best offense in the game, but couldn't make the playoffs because they gave up 28 PPG, right? Or because Cutler came up small in big games down the stretch, or because they couldn't punch the ball in in the endzone. Denver's going to lose more than they win... but it's because Shanahan was completely incapably of fixing the flaws the team had on the defensive side of the ball.

Yeah, Knowshon Moreno is going to fail in an offense in which he's a perfect fit, and a system that allowed the Broncos rookie FULLBACK to average 5 YPC last year. Makes a ton of sense.

So if the defense was the problem (allowing 28 PPG, etc.), then why are the Broncos dismantling their entire offense??

Look, I hear the exact same comments from each and every Broncos fan. "We're a better team without Cry Baby Cutler!" "Three game losing streak? It was time for Shanahan to go!" "Good, suspend Marshall. That'll teach him!" However, in reality, the loss of those three members will cripple the Broncos for McDaniels' entire tenure as head coach. Denver is now starting from scratch. Take away the Broncos' secondary, and their roster looks like an expansion team -- less talent on paper than even the Raiders. I know if I were a Broncos fan, I would be fuming!

Josh McDaniels is in Denver because the defense was assembled by an egotistical Head Coach who refused to give up his power when it came to personnel. As a result, he was fired.

The Broncos actually do have talent, even at WR -- Eddie Royal was great for the Broncos last year and had one of the better rookie seasons for a WR in memory. Brandon Stokley is still solid. Their offensive line was one of the best in football last year (like every year), allowing only 11 sacks, and only struggled to run the ball because they were down to signing a guy who was selling cell phones in a kiosk at a Denver mall a week before his first start of last season. They had 6 or 7 RB's on injured reserve. Ryan Clady was a rookie tackle who played every single snap and I'm fairly certain didn't allow a single sack.

Jay Cutler got upset because the Broncos fired Mike Shanahan, which was the right move, and were approached about trading Cutler, an offer which they denied. Where exactly did McDaniels :censored: up?

Brandon Marshall is upset because he wants more money (how many NFL teams typically honor those types of requests? None.) and he doesn't like the way the Broncos handled his, like, 9th arrest. Good riddance. You know what the difference between him and Pacman or Chris Henry is? Probably one f'up. Guy can't stay out of trouble in Denver, how you think he'll do in New York?

Not to mention the Broncos would use a Marshall trade to improve their defense.

I know Jags isn't gonna make or break this team but it just shows that Tampa is just as unstable as Denver and Kansas City are this season. The biggest difference is though that both KC and Denver have somewhat hopeful looking futures. Tampa's competitive wings broke off at 35,000 ft the day Kiffen decided to skip town to join his boy, and and we've been plummeting like a burning meteorite ever since. It's sad to say but I can't see this organization being competitive for quite a long time. And I mean years, like this could get 80's/90's bad IMO

Hopefully that's just my inner Tnak speaking though...

Still tough to think that Kiffen's departure destroyed my favorite NFL teams chances, only to try and make my favorite college team better. I still have no idea how to feel about this...

Michael Vick is eligible to play in week 3.

That's pretty much the best case of all of the ones discussed... he must have impressed Goodell.

Guess AJ Feely will be a Patriot by the end of the week.

Let's be realistic. Denver and Kansas City are gonna be scraping the bottom of the AFC West barrel. Sports Illustrated has KC at 8-8, which is absolutely ridiculous. The Broncos and Chiefs may only have eight wins combined.

Somebody has to win those intra-division games. It won't be Oakland.

Jagodzinski was named the Buccaneers offensive coordinator on January 29, 2009. He came to Tampa Bay after two years (2007-2008) as the head coach at Boston College. Prior to his stint at Boston College, Jagodzinski served as the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers in 2006 and spent the two seasons (2004-2005) prior to that on the staff of the Atlanta Falcons.

Olson joined the Buccaneers as quarterbacks coach in 2008 and was retained when the team promoted Raheem Morris to head coach. Olson previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions in 2005 and the St. Louis Rams from 2006-07. He has also previously served as the quarterbacks coach for the Lions, Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers.

Head Coach Raheem Morris was set to address these moves at a press conference at One Buccaneer Place at a time to be announced shortly. That press conference will be carried live on Buccaneers.com.

Uggh, I think I'm gonna be sick. We might as well wear the 76 throwback unis all year long, I can't see us winning more than a game or two now.

Speaking of Ideaology having no place in Football it worked out well for the 2001 Patriots. And it is the cornerstone of that franchise. InTheEnd88 hit the nail on the head I could'nt have said it any better myself.

What ideology are you talking about?

Tell me, are all of your sweatshirts missing the sleeves?

I'm beginning to think Peter King is off his rocker. SI's annual NFL Preview issue is out and though their own scouting report echoes what everybody else is saying - namely the Saints' offense is great and if the D picks it up to even average, look out - King has the Saints at 7-9 and finishing 3rd in the division. He's sucked down the Falcon kool-aid though, picking them to take the division at 10-6 even though they lost 5 defensive starters, have looked awful on D in the preseason, and did far less in the off-season to shore up their D than the Saints did. Plus the fact the Saints D has shown some results, forcing 9 turnovers and limiting opponents to less than 10 points a game so far (yes, it's preseason but that's better than no results at all).

Now I'm not pretending to be an objective observer here but his take just strikes me as ridiculous. :cursing:

P.S. This is post #2500. Took me 4 years to get there.

I still remain dubious. Is it known if he packed up and moved from Virginia since that is where all his boys are? While I hope he also cut ties with all of the enablers.

rams80 it is the concept of team first everyone that goes to the Patriots fall in line. It all started then in 2001 with guys like Willie McGinest,Troy Brown,Antoine Smith,Teddy Bruschi,Otis Smith and it continues now with guys like Randy Moss, Corey Dillon who were thought to be malcontents elsewhere. Why? Because everything is built around the team if you go there you know you will have success because it is built that way. The same can be said for the Steelers organization. That is a fact and if you look in the early 2000's guess whose won 5 out of the 9 Titles..Steelers and Patriots. There is a reason for that, the stability of a team first organization.

When there is no money anymore...there are generally no "boys" anymore either. :P

Football is no place to have ideologies and you think wins is what matters. Well then please oh please tell Al Davis that his, ideologies such as, "The Vertical Game" and his choice of coaches and players isn't working. The Raiders do have an ideology and you're correct, it doesn't work.

When I saw that the Bucs fired their O-Coordinator, I just sat there and looked into my closet and was tempted to put on my Erict Rhett jersey. Yes, it's time to ditch the red and pewter and bring back the creamsicles, the Yuccaneers have officially returned and the Bay of Pigs is back when they meet the Packers. Oh how appropriate that they are wearing throwbacks that day. The only thing missing would be Don Majkowski behind center for the Packers.

Congrats on your post #2500. Peter King has been more worried about hotels, Starbucks consistency and flights for the last 3 years while Jay Glazer gets the scoops by talking to more players and GMs.
