I think ICS said it best. Whatever Lincecum is smoking, it's gotta be some good :censored:. Watch your tail, Roy. I as well wouldn't necessarily say that Albert Pujols is the Michael Jordan of baseball, but he's damn close. I've never seen a guy as fundamentally sound and as athletically gifted as Pujols. And to think he JUST turned 30. The possibilities with what could happen with his career seem endless.

After watching the games today, it is still clear that Lincecum and Pujols are the class of this sport. Other guys will make a valid attempt to unseat these guys, but the performances they turned out today proves that they are ready for the 3-peat in the awards category.

BTW, if you can afford MLB.tv and don't have it, get it. It's proven to be an awesome investment and it's only opening day.

Did you (or anyone else) have any problems with MLB.tv tonight? I had a hard time watching anything live until around the 3rd inning of the Oakland-Seattle game, and I still can't watch any of the archived games. Instead I get a blackout restriction message and the radio call even though archived games aren't supposed to be blacked out and even if they were, I'm not trying to watch the Mets or Yankees. There are a lot of angry customers on the MLB.tv customer support forum since there are a lot of others with the same problem.

Gah, I cannot wait for tomorrow. I am very excited for Rays season. I did enjoy today, watching baseball for the love of the game.

I hope to god this doesn't spell out the 2010 season...

Well if it makes you feel any better, all of the water coolers in the Cubs dugout yesterday looked to still be intact. So maybe Big Z has learned to control his anger issues. Isn't that the most important thing? :D

It's been a bit buggy, and I had issues connecting when trying to play HD feed, but I was able to watch baseball all day yesterday without too many problems.

Oh it's always the worst when you're one of the two or four teams not opening until Tuesday...

This year its only the Orioles and Rays, which I don't understand at all. Especially since the O's have to play 7:00 on Thursday night, then fly home for the home opener on Friday at 3:00. They couldn't have played Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and give the O's Thursday to travel? Or at least given the O's a 1:00 Thursday getaway game? I don't understand what the schedule makers were thinking on that one.

Thanks. It seems to be working better for me now, although there are no live games going on yet. I bought it midseason last year and had no problems and you are right, it is really cool when it's working.

Now back to the regularly scheduled thread.

Just wait until Carlos Silva steps on the mound. That should be fun to watch if you're not the Cubs.

The Twins bullpen gets the job done tonight against The Angels. Jon Rauch gets the save. That's one "replacement save" and one game where they didn't need Joe Nathan. They only need to do that 39 more times and losing Nathan will be a wash. :D

Seriously though, I am curious to see how this plays out for The Twins. I don't think losing Nathan is going to hurt The Twins nearly as badly as the "experts" say it will. We'll see.

I agree, I don't think closers are as important as people believe. Unfortunately there is really no way of knowing how much better (if at all) Nathan makes the Twins. Rauch and the rest of the bullpen could save 50 games and blow one playoff game and people will be saying that Nathan would have done better.

And those people will know nothing about baseball.
