Well...these turned out to be a big bucket of "meh".

It'll take time to get used to seeing UVa in orange pants...we'll see how this goes.

So they removed the helmet stripes, then introduce pants that would have worked perfectly with those stripes. Nice.

The ACC has way too many teams wearing orange.

2 and a half teams out of 12 is too many?

it's actually 3 1/2, Clemson, Miami, UVa and Va. Tech, if you count the Hokies as a half

Great look for Virginia. I wish they had gone with the same number font as the basketball team, though. Why is it so many football teams insist on block numbers?

UVa should've gone with this:

Now having said that, screw Virginia, and especially their AD for stealing my team's coach when most of the fans in Charlottesville didn't want him anyway. I hope you lose every basketball game you play for the next 10 years.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

And Pro Combat doesn't mean that they have to do something crazy, that's just what the teams did last year to showcase how the uniform was different.

Well, if you can have crazy designs like gradients or two-tone numbers, and it works with your identity, why not do that full-time? It makes no sense for Nike and the teams to show off how ProCombats are "different" and then immediately hide all the differences as soon as the new line enters general use.

I definitely agree on the number font. For football jerseys nowadays with limited sleeves, it seems like one of the only differences teams can have is number font, yet so many teams insist on the old block style.

Other than the number font, I like them. It's simple but not flashy.

Agreed. I wish they would decide to extend the stripe all the way down the pants or do without it completely. Otherwise, it looks good. It's understated and clean. If it looks boring, then consider me satisfied. Sick of looking at crap designs (piping for the sake of piping, collar horns, etc.) that are passed off as being "modern."

I was counting Virginia, Miami and VT as a half each since they all typically use it as a color less than half the time. Virginia and VT very rarely wear orange as a primary color.

Why does flashy= good uniforms? Why can't a uniform be simple and highlight the teams color? I like the new unis, glad they kept the V with swords logo too

I don't think they need to be flashy, they just should be unique. What they had before was, what they have now is too similar to a couple other teams with similar color schemes. (Clemson, Illinois)

Love 'em. Total upgrade. Could have been slightly better, but no real complaints here. No need for a goofy number font, though the basketball one may have been OK. The helmet stripes sucked, glad they're gone. Orange pants look great with the blue helmet and white jersey.

BBTV approves.

UVA used to have orange pants...when they had the just-stripes white helmets.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
