I really hope he leaves and everyone in Cleveland forgets they ever pretended to like the Cavaliers. Like a 7 year trip.

and now I can focus my energy on rooting for the Suns.

OK... 1.) LeBron did keep us hanging on way too long.

2.) Mike Brown will be fired in the next 7 days.

3.) LeBron will not be playing for the Knicks next season... he is at minimum 3 years away from making it to the play offs, any less out of the first round.

4.) He is not playing for Chicago. He doesn't even like sharing the number 23, no way he is going to be in MJ's shadow IN Chicago.

5.) He is not going to Miami, he is not sharing the spot line with another super star.

6.) New Jersey and Clippers are in the running. a.) NJ has a nice, young core to work with, and a top draft pick coming... i.e. Harris, Even Turner, LBJ, Lopez, with Lee off the bench.

7.) Clippers also have a nice young core, but I don't see him sharing with Kobe.

LeBron in Newark with the Nets?

That is the impossible dream.

What would that even look like?

Think about it... of the 6 potential locations...

1.) Bulls : can't share 23, he isn't sharing a city.

2.) Knicks : 3 years away from being in the playoffs

3.) Clippers : Good talent, but sharing a city with Kobe? Don't see that with LeBron's ego.

4.) Cleveland : Hometown, most wins back to back years, top 3 owners in the league.

5.) Miami : LeBron's ego is way too big to share with another star... So i don't see it happening.

6.) New Jersey : All-Star point guard in Harris, 15 and 10 Center in Lopez, roll players like CDR, T. Williams, and Courtney Lee, and a potential top 5 draft pick, which if goes according to plan with a top 2 pick, they take Evan Turner. All of a sudden you have a starting 5 of Harris, Turner, LeBron, Lopez. With this loaded of a draft, it will be easy to find a power forward who doesn't need a lot of touches.

If he's not going to Chicago, it's because Jerry Reinsdorf is too cheap to pay him. Don't give me this sportswriter drivel about uniform numbers or "sharing a city."

Its not drivel man. Just look at LeBron's ego... its massive. Billionaire athlete? Come on now... you are living in a delusion if you think he will go to Chicago.

Chicago is definately a possibility for LeBron. Yeah, he's going to be comapared to MJ, but that comparison has come up ever since he's been in the league. It would be great for the Bulls to sign him, but like the admiral said, they'll probably end up with Rudy Gay or Joe Johnson and finish with a 5 or 6 seed next year.

Is anyone else heavily rooting for the Suns-Magic matchup? Two teams that have never won a title playing each other for the NBA title. That would be refreshing.

Chicago is not an option. Let's be honest. A good point guard, but no game outside of 15 foot, a center with attitude problems who makes a living off of offensive rebounds only. Gibson and Deng are solid, but not playing along side LeBron.

Well the Russian had said he would spend allot of money, and make a big splash that would be it.

Because you clearly know what youre talking about here. Really, thats what you think of Rose? No game outside of 15 feet? How about his game inside of 15 feet? He does things around the rim that make me jump off my couch. Best scoring point guard in the NBA?I would maybe say so. But your analysis is much better. And come on? Noah tore apart Shaq and Varejao, while jawing at an entire city, and last time I checked, offensive rebounding is an incredible asset to a team. So yeah, I have no probelm with him "making a living off of it." But Deng does suck :P

EDIT: Also, Noah doesnt have attitude problems. He is passionate and expresses himself. its not like he refuses to go to practices or fights with teammates. he has a ridiculous work ethic

Billionaires often turn down world-class cities for the cozy confines of Akron, yes.

And yeah, Joakim Noah's attitude problems have been functions of being subordinate to complete buffoons like Ben Wallace and Vinny Del Negro. What do you expect.

My analysis :censored:s on yours. My argument was Rose has no game outside of 15 foot... which I am correct in saying. His game inside of 15 is great, but playing along side LeBron, you need guys who can space the floor... Rose can't... because he can't hit anything outside of 15 foot with any sort of reasonable accuracy.

As for Noah, yes, offensive rebounding is an asset, but he doesn't have that solid of an offensive game. He doesn't have post moves like KG, or even Shaq for that matter (who gets away with it because of his size). Naoh is more of a Varejao player. Makes his living off of put backs and hits the occasional 17 footer. Gibson is someone who can stretch the floor, but will get abused by PFs like Jefferson, STAT, Bosh, Boozer, etc... anyone who is in there banging with solid most moves.

They don't have anyone coming off the bench. Warrick signed a 1 year deal. Hinrich is undersized. Deng will not be effective playing with LeBron. They have limited to no trade assets outside of Gibson. Sure this draft is loaded, but a mid-first round rookie pick isn't exactly the deal breaker to bring LeBron over.

Its Clippers, Nets, Cavs, Knicks. One other team i was thinking about was Houston. With Brooks, Martin, LeBron, Scola, and potentially Yao back... it could be attractive.

Since the game ended all the locals are are placing 100% of the blame on LeBron for losing this series. When they aren't questioning LeBron's heart they're acting like the :censored:-ing world is going to end if LeBron leaves.

It was obvious that this was going to be a tough series after game two. A smart fan base would know that The Celtics were fully capable of beating The Cavs in a 7 game series. I'd be hard pressed to call this "an upset." Boston was playing good ball down the stretch and it's not like they're a bunch of stiffs who got lucky.

I was listening to ESPN radio the other night and one of those insider yahoos that poses as an expert made a pretty good point. LeBron is 25 years old. He's lived his entire life in Ohio. Maybe he leaves simply because he wants to experience life somewhere other than here. That sounds like a pretty good reason to me.

All season I was convinced that LeBron wasn't going anywhere. Now that he's being eviscerated by this idiotic Cleveland fan base I think there's no way he stays. After all the LeBron bashing I've seen since the game five loss, I can't blame him if he leaves.

reposted because estone's shi*ty analysis derailed my logo joke.

cavsbowlingg.png

I got a question, why is Jordan's shot over Ehlo such a "hearbreaking" moment for Cleveland sports fans? It was in the GD first round and the Cavs were only the 3 seed. I feel like they just put it on that list because the Cavaliers' history is so ugly and they needed something from Cleveland's basketball team to add to the list of Cleveland sports painful defeats. I'd argue that the last two postseason losses have been more detrimental to Cleveland fans than that ever was.

Yes, absolutely. I've been rooting for that since the beginning. That would

I don't think his ego is that out of control.

I'm sorry but thats absolutely wrong. Rose lives off of spacing, and then attacks it. And Noah is known for running the floor and creating space. Gibson is the opposite, he camps down low. You have everyone mixed up. Hinrich isnt undersized, hes the same height as Rose. Warrick is awful. Deng is awful. I dont think Lebron is banking on the draft to convince him. Id say ROY and all-star Derrick Rose is enough. Maybe I just dont 'get' Cleveland's analysis
