I like Michael Vick. I like running quarterbacks. But until scrambling quarterbacks that lack accurate passing skills can consistently win Super Bowls, I'm going to continue prioritizing passing ability over running ability when it comes to quarterbacks.

Tim Tebow is left handed. Nobody's doubting his ability to succeed because of that. Steve Young was left handed. Didn't stop him from winning a Super Bowl.

As for power (and lack thereof), Chad Pennington built a long career based on accuracy over strength.

I know at this point that speculation on how these guys will do in the pros is bullcrap, but it's fun bullcrap nonetheless.

And it isn't just my Kellen Moore for Heisman campaign - ESPN has him first in their Heisman Watch rankings right now. McElroy has played better competition but he's also been surrounded by a ridiculous supporting cast of five-star recruits including a Heisman-winning running back. Kellen Moore's built a 25-1 record as a starter with a cast of players that larger programs passed over.

Yeah and once again he plays crap competition, and McElroy hasn't lost a start since he was in the dang 8th grade, he is surrounded by 5-star talent but they play 5-star talent all the time unlike Boise State, and he still wins.

Isn't the story on McElroy that he has followed solid QBs?

Didn't start until his senior year of HS at SouthLake-Carroll because he was behind Chase Daniels?

Then didn't start at Alabama because he was behind John Parker Wilson?

He hasn't lost a start since 8th grade, but he's only been a starter for 2 years and 2 games of those 7 years.

You are correct. He was at Southlake Carroll when the team went 32-0 with Daniel at QB. The next year, he led the team to a 16-0 record and the UIL 5A Division I title. They were 5A Division II the two prior seasons and also won titles.

Now, Southlake has other issues with their new QB being ruled ineligible. Daxx Garman has committed to Arizona, but he cannot play football in two states (Oklahoma and Texas). He could play at a private school in Texas as they are not under the UIL, but the cache of playing at Southlake Carroll is still something (for now).

114 of the 120 points scored by Oregon were by a freshman or sophomore (source: ESPN)

Oregon looks nasty good this year, but I'm really interested to see how they perform against Oregon State and Arizona. Traditionally, the Beavers ALWAYS give them a run for their money and Zona looks to be a dark horse team for the Pac 10 title this season. Everyone here in Eugene is really high on UO right now, but I think the Ducks are in for some unexpectedly tough games, particularly with back-to-backs against UCLA-USC, and then later against Arizona-Oregon State.

Here's a bold statement for Week 3: Tennessee beats Florida.

The formula is there: Florida's offense has struggled a bit. This will be Brantley's first start on the road, and in front of 100,000 loud Vol fans. And Tennessee has shown an ability to run the ball.

Even without Montario Hardesty or Arian Foster.

I wouldn't shy away from Tennessee giving Florida a run, Vols were embarrassed at Neyland last week and what a better game to get this rivalry going again.

Honestly, this is the first time in two decades in which I am not that locked into this game. However, Knoxville has had more than a week to take this to heart. NSFW

I don't know what is greater:

1-His UT watch.

2-He calls out 100,000+ people, but not "Bill" or "Rondo".

3-His pinstripe hat is not the Bill Dance cap. He would earn more points for that.

Nice job Nevada. The top has a silver stripe and the pants looks to have a white stripe on some players.

Plus, who has tape or emails on Tedford to allow Kevin Riley to play so much in his four seasons? He is the Pac 10's version of John Navarre who never won a meaningful game or got his team to a BCS game/Rose Bowl.

WOO! Way to go Wolfpack! Our biggest win in quite some time. Look out Boise State, we're coming for you!

I sure hope you're right. I wouldn't bet money on the Vols winning but I like your thinking.

Nice win by Nevada-Reno, but that was their big season win. Boise has all larger games at home.

Jeff Tedford is an average to lesser than average coach which Cal cannot do better. Keep him, but keep him in check and have a better staff.

I failed to mention that Chris "Time to die, bitch!" Rainey isn't playing for Florida. Their offense figures to take a step back.

As a Georgia fan, I wish both teams could lose. But if one had to win, I could tolerate a Tennessee win moreso than a Florida fan, just because Tennessee's fans aren't as obnoxious as Florida fans.

There is a great game going on at Camp Randall right now.

#11 Wisconsin leads Arizona State 13-10 at halftime... but just barely.

ASU took a 10-3 lead on a punt return TD. Wisconsin hit a field goal, and then took the lead with a touchdown with about 7 seconds or so left in the 1st half. On the ensuing kickoff ASU returns the kick 95 yards, but is brought down by shoe tackle on the one yard line with no time left on the clock.

Wisconsin may be bigger in this game, but Arizona State is faster and the Sun Devils are hanging around. ASU does not look intimidated. Just have to hope that just-short return doesn't put a damper on ASU.

If ASU can keep up their enthusiasm, not get worn down, and keep a hold of their special teams advantage, this looks to be an extremely interesting second half.

GO DEVILS! FORK THE BADGERS!

ASU really needs to stop with all the penalties...

Yeah that too. Just stupid penalties. I think maybe one false start. And the Devils had another punt return TD in the first half that was called back on an idiotic block in the back. The guy was past the runner and probably not going to get to him, but he pushed him square in the back.

They showed a graphic that under Dennis Erickson, the Devils have been consistently on of THE most penalized teams in the country, being in the top (or bottom) 3 the past two years (including being 120th 2 years ago).

ASU drives down for the TD that would tie the game and Wisconsin blocks the PAT. Nice.

So so so close. Just a missed assignment on the PAT and a stupid penalty on what would have been a three-and-out for Wisconsin to give the Devils the ball back and probably the win. The worst part was that was ASU's first penalty in the 2nd half.

I can only hope that this is a huge morale boost to ASU, because I know it can either be a huge boost or a huge downer. Especially with Oregon coming into Tempe next Saturday. They could use all the help.

I don't expect too much next week at Oregon, I just hope this game can translate to more things down the road this season (maybe a bowl?) and especially next season.
