Sure it sucks the logos won't be different every year, but let's chill out here fellas...Yep, it sucks now and it'll suck again next year and the year after and the year after. That's kinda my problem with it, it's already boring in year 2, what's year 10? Yeah, it's not world hunger, but this isn't the CC End World Hunger Community either.I like how everyone is mad at Roger Goodell because of a logo. Go ahead and petition and protest, at the end of the day it won't work and you'll look like a moron. It's just a logo, and not even a bad one. I swear you dudes get so bent out of shape about this stuff sometimes it's unreal.I'm not mad at Roger Goodell over the logo or anything else but I lost a lot of respect for him over how he took "fans are pissed at being jacked regular season prices for pre-season games" and spun it into "fans want an 18-game season." That's kinda my problem with it, it's already boring in year 2, what's year 10? That is my biggest gripe. I loved the originality of the different logos (up until 40), so I was sad to see that go. However, I could live with the same logo every year if it was good, such as the NBA Finals script. These new Super Bowl logos are :censored:ing terrible. It is off-balance, awkwardly alligned, washed out crap. The gradient logos are bad, and the flat logos are even worse. On the three logo picture posted above, look at the logo on the right and tell me that it's an appropriate logo for the biggest sports/TV event of the year. It is awful. I hated the XLV logo when I first saw it. I would have hated it if it was a once off logo, and I hate it even more since it is part of a logo system now. Surely Indy can't do it all by itself when Miami and Dallas need all of South Florida and North Texas to host theirs? Dallas didn't really need the entire Metroplex.... well, it wouldn't if the stadium was actually IN Dallas. But it's not even on Dallas' side of the Metroplex. Plus it was a joint comittee. So yeah, Dallas did kinda need all of North Texas to host.And going back to the logo.... IT SUCKS. PERIOD. The Super Bowl should NOT have a system. It's boring. I have to wonder if it'll look just a bit strange when an open air stadium gets the bid and the building doesn't take up most of the lower half of the logo. What I see today instead is a guy who isn't anywhere smart enough for the job he holds; a guy who got promoted into a job he honestly wasn't quite capable of handling all the elements of, but who is trying as best he can. He's brought some of it on himself to be sure, but the wrath he's incurred from the fans isn't entirely justified. He's the owners' lackey for all intent and purpose, just as Tagliabue was before him. Unlike Pete Rozelle he can't rein them in, and unlike Tagliabue he isn't keeping all the dirt under the rug. He's a nice guy in person - amiable, somewhat reserved - but those aren't traits you seek in the Commissioner of a professional sports league.
