kevinmets
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=lukas%2F110512_new_york_mets_black_uniforms&sportCat=mlbInteresting story/interview with the guy who started the black Mets look. The drop shadows were supposed to represent New York being a "city of shadows", something the marketing people ignored.

larrypep
Great article. I don't like the Mets using black at all, but the whole city of shadows theme was inspired.

Bleujayone
I'm still trying to figure how AIS has been making uniforms since 1984 (including a few for TV series and movies) and here we in 2011 and they still don't have a functioning website. They never have. Isn't this usually this kiss-of-death misstep in 21st business? We all have our little faults. Mine's in California.
jake22
Wow, what an amazing article. I like how he mentioned that he thought it was too much to have a drop shadow on the pinstriped uniform. Also it was sort of funny how he only added a little bit of black and then the mets got slap happy and got way too carried away. If you need to get in contact with them, you know who to call. They aren't looking for new business as they probably have a waiting list for business and it comes to them.
