If Washington State had a similar body of work, they'd just now be cracking the "others receiving votes" portion of the rankings.In other news, Maryland's season is officially over. Getting pummeled by the worst team in the ACC (the score doesn't indicate just how lopsided the game really was) marks a new low for the Terps. And guess what? UM is stuck with Edsall for another however-many years, since they just finished buying out their last coach and the Athletic Department went broke trying to promote a football team that plays third-fiddle to basketball and lacrosse. Jon Hays played well at quarterback in place of Wynn, and John White was a beast on the ground today with 205 yards. I'm just thrilled I don't have to worry about a winless conference season right now (it was starting to feel like it could go that way for a while). The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. Should've had at least 2 by now, but at this point, I'm not gonna complain about who they beat or how they won, I'm just happy that they put another W on the board. Just gotta get to 6 and it's bowl time.Hell of a game going on in Atlanta right now. Now I think I know what it feels like to be a fan of a MAC team when their team has the lead on a BCS that team they have no business beating.
