thespleenenator
Of all the scream and holler coaches, Mike Stoops was in a league by himself. "I'm drinking Diet Coke, why the f@&k am I not losing weight!? Give me some fries or I'm benching you!" Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. dfwabel
No subpoena power = rules are unenforceable. From the NCAA (the last sentence is important):After conducting more than 80 interviews, the NCAA has concluded its investigation into Auburn University. The NCAA enforcement staff is committed to a fair and thorough investigative process. As such, any allegations of major rules violations must meet a burden of proof, which is a higher standard than rampant public speculation online and in the media. The allegations must be based on credible and persuasive information and includes a good-faith belief that the Committee on Infractions could make a finding. As with any case, should the enforcement staff become aware of additional credible information, it will review the information to determine whether further investigation is warranted. TFoA
So Cam gets cleared, he's getting paid in the NFL and looks to be on his way to a Rookie of the Year award? Lawd, Cam's just winning all over the place (except on the field, lately...).Anyways, I'm sure that this is a load off for Auburn fans. That cloud is no longer over the program for the time being. thespleenenator
Ok, I'm just curious, how did Tyron Mathieu get the name The honey badger? I know it's a reference to a popular youtube video ("The honey badger don't care, he takes what he wants" etc.), but the name doesn't make sense. I really hope this isn't a case of the regular populace misusing memes again. Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. Plus, didn't Russel Westbrook get that nickname very early in 2011 from OKC Thunder fans? From Sept.

But James dislocated his elbow (badly), and popped it back into place before the trainers got there, joked with the media afterword, and he still has a chance that he'll play Saturday (although it's highly unluckily). I liken that to the scene where the honey badger is attacked by the cobra, and just gets right back up. I guess honey badger does fit Mathieu in a way though, but what James did was one of the most badass things I've seen a player do. He needs some sort of nickname (hell, De Thomas has "the black mamba"). How about the Atomic Bomb? He's the most explosive back in the country after all. Why you make fun of me? He leads the SEC in forced and recovered fumbles and he's ranked nationally in the top 5 in both categories. Not only that, but he's compared to the honey badger because with both, their size doesn't stop them from getting what they want. Not really sure why you think the name is fitting for LMJ because honestly it really doesn't make sense for him at all either.

Maybe if LMJ dislocated his arm a few weeks earlier, we'd have a different story.

Chicageaux
Then what was the point of bringing it back up and saying it doesn't make any sense for Mathieu a week later? I think it's pretty clear, but whatever, I'm not going to derail the thread anymore.
