It's official: LouieDogstheGenocideGenera scores more with women then the Dodgers score. 2 runs in 6 games. If it was any other team, I would feel sorry for them, but since it's the Dodgers, I'm happy. I am frustrated the Giants couldn't add anymore distance between them today.

Has the Dodgers offense gone AWOL?

No. They were over-rated. Look when you have an infield of Juan Uribe, Adam Kennedy, Mark Ellis, Dee Gordon, Jerry Hairston, and James Loney, you are going to suck, no questions about it. Throw in two catchers that can't hit, and two American League rejects in Juan Rivera and Bobby Abreu, you really suck. On top of all of that, when your only two offensive threats go down with injuries, then you are going suck really, really bad. Point blank bluntly, the Dodgers got their record by beating up on bad teams. It was bound to end. This is a friggin' talentless team on par with Kansas City and Pittsburgh. Oh wait, I'm sorry, I'm wrong. Kansas City and Pittsburgh actually have talent.

For the AL not a big fan of Prince, Jeter and Granderson starting. Edwin Encarnacion, Asdrubal Cabrera and Adam Jones are all having far better years.

For the NL I can't justify putting in Kung Fu Panda over David Wright. Higher averages and he's played the full first half. Or Rafael Furcal over Starlin Castro. Even with his mental gaps I would say Castro has been hands down the best shortstop in the NL for the first half. Him and Ryan Dempster are probably the only two players saving the Cubs from '62 Mets/'03 Tigers territory.

If you would've told me at the start of the year that the Giants would have three position players starting in the All Star Game, I would've asked for the number to your crack dealer. Bummed to see that Vogelsong and Bumgarner didn't make it, but that's what happens when you only have so many spots. So stoked for Pablo, Buster, and Melky.

OH, and am I seeing this right? Pujols DIDN'T make the team? That makes me even happier.

Nice to see some West Coast Bias for a change. This is a proud day.

Agreed. It's amazing to see that Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford finished second because of Giants fans stuffing the ballot. This would normally annoy me, but seeing Jeter get picked for the millionth time when he's completely undeserving negates that.

Not only did Posey get get the most votes of any NL player this year, but he got the most votes of any NL player in HISTORY. Melky was the second-highest vote-getter this year. Also, Freddy Sanchez finished fourth! I love this; Giants fans are dismantling and violating the ASG voting model.

He's at Cal Ripken's level where no matter what type of numbers he puts up, he's getting in.

As it cost Troy Glaus a couple of all-star starts, so it will Asdrubal Cabrera.

Actually, if you get rid of your complete hatred and look at the facts, he's completely deserving of the vote. Stat wise he's comparable to both Andrus and Cabrera. Sure Cabrera has a little more power 11 HR and 40 RBI vs Jeter's 7 and 25, but there is nothing except for Cabrera's RBI total that they are offensively blowing Jeter out of the water as all their offensive stats are comparable.

It's not a hatred at all. I really don't care if he starts for the AL. In fact I'm for it because it puts the AL at a slight disadvantge not having their best guy out there. My annoyance stems from the fact that fans can vote for the starters in a game that "counts" in the first place. This Giants situation is a perfect example. The fact that the Giants had a guy in the top 4 in voting in every position (or almost every position anyway) is ridiculous. Brandon Crawford and Brandon Belt finished second and Freddie Sanchez, a guy who hasn't played a game since the middle of last season, finished 4th? That right there shows that this is a problem that should be fixed. Of course I'm in the unique position where guys from my team got the votes, so it's working out in my favor, but I can still admit its a problem.

As for Jeter, his numbers aren't terrible this season, but there are a few guys who are clearly ahead of him. And this is like the 5th or 6th time that's been the case.
