For that, Joey Votto will be taking a fastball to the back the next time the Brewers and Reds meet up.

Which was today and that didn't happen.

The matter may have been handled in house. Apparently the Reds didn't appreciate the act either.

If that's the case then I don't know what purpose it would serve to start beaning guys other then to escalate the situation.

I guess the Sabathia and Pettitte DL stints are the Yankees punishment for the "injustice" of last night's play be DeWayne Wise.

Of course, a similar play happened in a Royals/Pirates game not even three weeks ago, but since people don't care about those teams, there was no firestorms.

God I love double standards and uninformed claims of "BIAS!".

This is awesome. The Dodgers laid 3 goose eggs in 3 game against the Giants!

Finally have Sergio Romo closing as well. Don't know what the holdup was on making that switch. He's been as lights out as any reliever over the last three years.

Also Mike Trout may have made the catch of the year earlier tonight.

Thanks for the hospitality, Baltimore!

And Mike Trout... Oh My God.

This is the first time in about 5 or 6 years that I missed the Angels/O's series. I'm so pissed it was a 2-game mid-week series the week before I leave for vacation. I could've seen this:

The Giants have been looking pretty impressive lately, but the Dodgers have just been flat out awful. I expect things to get a bit better for them when Kemp returns, but they look like a AAA team without him after that hot start. Huge series for the Giants coming up with 4 vs the Reds.

4 straight shutouts for the Giants! Tonight it was against a real lineup.

They've played awesome lately. The pitching is actually getting stronger as the year goes on and this lineup is really starting to gel. Being in first place really has that warm and fuzzy feeling :P Hopefully they can keep it up!

CNN was just not having a good day yesterday...

Abreu_CNN.jpg

1. Mets won.

2. Bobby Abreu did not hit a home run.

3. Bobby Parnell did not call Bobby Abreu a chicken during the pre-game.

4. Bobby Parnell has been the Mets closer for all of five minutes, so its impossible for him to "implode again" even if Abreu did hit a home run off him to tie the game.

5. Whoever wrote that headline should be fired on the spot for the above mentioned mistakes.

I honestly can't tell if this is sarcasm or not...

If its not sarcasm: It's not real. It's mocking CNN for their faulty Obamacare report earlier in the day. Also, Parnell was the closer for a significant portion of last season and he blew his fair share of games.

He closed for a month and he's been the Mets best reliever this year by a wide margin.

To me to imply that he imploded again is that he's been the closer for at least a full season and he hasn't pitching well, neither of which is true. If the headline was the Mets bullpen imploded again, that would be more accurate, because they've been god awful. But to single out Parnell like that even if true I think is very unwarranted.

As far as CNN goes I can't really elaborate much on it. Its just comes off more as dumbass to me then anything else.

Again--NOT REAL. It was totally made up by a Met blogger. Calm down. It's not at all supposed to be serious. It's literally making fun of CNN by reporting the opposite of what actually happened because they broke the news that Obamacare was struck down yesterday--except--this is where things get interesting--the opposite was actually true.
