Not to take anything away from the player, but what does a team gain by running up the score and winning by 75 points in Division 3? Is that really something to be proud of? If it was a close game it's understandable to score that much. But what kind of coach keeps the starters in, and continues to press when up that much?

Take a look at the boxscore.

Taylor played 36 minutes, but out of the other 18 Grinnell players nobody played more than 15. They also had more offensive rebounds (37) than defensive (22). It was a bit for them to get coverage. Typically, their most guys average 12-14 minutes.

How does a player score 138 points and have zero assists?

Because the game plan was for him to shoot the ball every time he touched it?

Not to mention, the scumbag coach from Grinnell somehow found a way to make that game, against a Division 2 team in the laughable NCCAA, count as a regular game and not an exhibition.

Everybody gets one. Even in Division III. Really think the outrage is offbase here.

Cards win against UNI despite the lack of offense displayed on the court What worries me is that Mizzou is a very tough team with Pressley out there on PG making the plays to win the game. If Louisville doesn't have any offense, we could very well lose this game.

So, Sean Woods gets one game suspension. Anyone else think it was too light?

Also, in the video they keep showing of him pushing the player and yelling at him, what was the one assistant coach doing? Every time Woods went to say something, that coach would start talking too.

#18 UNLV lost at home (breaking a 20 game win streak at home) to the Oregon Ducks.

Great victory for the Ducks.

yes sir, big game tomorrow night against Cincy

It's going to be very interesting to see Oregon can match-up against Sean Kilpatrick.

First shipment of fail for the Pac-12, Washington loses to Albany at home. Another shipment just got stopped as UCLA barely beats UC Irvine by one in OT. Washington lost their best players, so them struggling is understood. While at UCLA, I know Shabazz Muhammad is ineligible, but there is no excuse for that to happen. After their final four runs they have gotten worse and worse, including some embarassing losses along the way. Something is really wrong with them. Ben Howland won't be around much more if this continues.

UCLA just lost to Cal Poly at home, even with Muhammad. The countdown clock is officially on, if it wasn't already for Howland to be canned in Westwood.

More sad news on this day. Rick Majerus has passed away.

He is just a fine coach who helped build Saint Louis's Basketball program. Prayers out to St. Louis University, the alumni he coached and his family.

On other news, UK finally lost a game at home in 55 games. It was because of Baylor, who beat UK by 9.

Odd that raysfan36 remembers him for St. Louis and not say....Utah, which he took to consecutive Elite 8s and a National Championship Game.

I do remember that too, but his contributions to the Saint Louis program are more important than what he did at Utah in my perspective. He took a doormat in the A-10 and turned them into a tournament team year-in year-out.

You mean rebuild, littlerayfan. Before you were born or when you were an infant, SLU was a consistent team under recently passed Charlie Spoonhour. Three NCAA appearances in 7 seasons. Could have had more if Larry Hughes didn't need to turn pro so early to pay for his kid brother's medical care.

He also was rumored not to know black players by name and loved to walk around naked at practice. littlerayfan, this SI storyis from 2008, so you were what? 10, 11, or 12?

I could probably talk about some of the classic moments that my family personally enjoyed with the Big Man...but instead I'll just post a video that features my favorite bit of classic Majerus celebration.
