2012-13 MLB Off-Season Thread

Recommended Posts

Hope Melky has lots to prove this year. And maybe Braun coming back this year just as strong relieved any pause they might have had, though obviously two totally different guys. Still, a huge off-season and hopefully more to come.

I don't know, I was just making a joke.

But seriously, I suppose you could intercede based on the fact that the Marlins have already had their dicks slapped for collecting handsome revenue sharing with a bare-bones payroll, though that press release did say they were off the hook after 2012. Oh man, I bet those little CSers had it planned all along.

In response to our concerns that revenue sharing proceeds have not been used as required, the Marlins have assured the Union and the Commissioner's Office that they plan to use such proceeds to increase player payroll annually as they move toward the opening of their new ballpark. Today's agreement, which covers the period 2010 through 2012, calls for ongoing communication among the Marlins, the Commissioner's Office and the Union as the Marlins proceed with that plan.

Damn it.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
