Sabrejeff
Via @ShiDavidi:Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, new #Jays affiliate, to unveil new logo and manager on Tuesday. The "Description of Mark" within the USPTO's on-line record accompanying this logo's registration reads:"The mark consists of a bison within a circle wearing a t-shirt and a baseball cap with the letter 'B' and holding a baseball bat and the words 'Buffalo Bisons' above the bison."And that's exactly what it is. Not completely awful

Brian in Boston
Researching the logo's registered trademark? That's some hardcore journalism. I do what I can with the information at my disposal. No one else had thought to do it. Or, if they had, they hadn't bothered to share. What can I say? I'm a giver. As for this guy...... it is reminiscent of what I consider to be the vastly superior logo sported by the team from 1989 through 1997.

CDixonDesign
Oh dear God. It's true. It's all over the Twitter page:https://twitter.com/BuffaloBisonsTo think, I didn't think you could get lower than beveled City Bold mess. Well played Bison, well played. epper
It's not completely horrible. Miles ahead of the beveled crap they had before. But they really should have hired someone to design it with experience in minor league baseball logo design rather than a local merchandiser.i'm hoping the primary cap is just like the one the Bison is wearing. Just a nice big ol' slab B.

sportstar1212
I really like that Bisons logo. I'm looking forward to seeing the uniforms.
epper
A friend and I were just looking at this logo last week when the redesign was announced....and my goodness. what a clusterf--- of a logo. It's like 90% of the effort was put into the "B" and the Bison's chin fur, and then they said "Ah, screw it." when it came to the legs/ uniform. And why is the Bison looking into the 3rd base dugout when he's about to swing? RyanB06
That buffalo is very poorly rendered. No detail to it at all. (The new one, not the one directly above this post.)And yet another roundel. Really? Not impressed. But it's better than what they had, so I guess it's an upgrade. DaytonBlue
The new Bison is nice. The half baseball and roundel, not so much. At least they didn't change their name to something like the Buffalo WaterfallJumpers (cough Fightin Phils ostrich and RailRider porcupine cough) "I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be." -Peter Gibbons RIP Demitra #
CDixonDesign
I'm sure this has probably been asked before, but why isn't the term referred to/called the Buffalo Bison?

-kj
That's really an awful rendering, and a terrible excuse for a roundel. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! KJTALBOT
The Stockton Ports (Single-A, Oakland A's) unveiled their new Friday setCheap plug for my blog that details some of it: http://butattheendof...ay-uniform-set/Hurm.Too much going on there. Asparagus mascot, Popeye, nautical implements, baseball equipment. Popeye doesn't have one tattoo, he has four.Any couple of those would work, but the whole thing is too cluttered.I don't get the asparagus thing (i read the article...i just don't get why they'd base an identity around it), but I totally want a t-shirt of the asparagus with the bat. Hilarious.Someone should tell that seaman not to grip the asparagus too tightly.Oh dear God. It's true. It's all over the Twitter page:https://twitter.com/BuffaloBisonsTo think, I didn't think you could get lower than beveled City Bold mess. Well played Bison, well played. I'm not completely sure why, but I absolutely love this logo. Sure the roundel and half baseball is kinda lame, but the bison itself looks awesome.I know it's historical, but why does the Bison have the same batting stance as Saduharu Oh? Everyone loves a roundel.
