nash61
Came across this on Ebay. Anyone know anything about it? They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. oddball
I think he might be talking about the white helmet paired with the yellow jersey.
Sodboy13
Maybe it was worn as the designated "light" uniform for that game, and therefore the Bruins had to wear the white helmets to contrast with their opponents' dark ones. ColeJ
i think i recall watch that game on NHL on FOX saturdays...and that's exactly what i remember happening. they tried to wear at is a "light" uniform but there wasn't enough contrast with the opposing team. i want to say it was against the rangers? so the bruins switched to white helmets. Beantown77
For the first season they wore those (1995-6), they paired them with the white helmets.Starting in 96-7 they wore the black helmets with the thirds.

Brendan
I loved these jerseys as a kid. The logos a disaster but I think the template is cool and would of worked better for an expansion team like the Thrashers.
Mingjai
They were part of the first foray into third jerseys by the NHL. From a design standpoint, I think they were okay--certainly not as bad as some of their contemporaries. But they didn't fit well for a traditional team like Boston.Of that generation of third uniforms, it's the Mighty Ducks' and Kings' thirds that I didn't like. The Pens' were so-so and the Canucks red thirds looked great. Visit my store on REDBUBBLE
kw11333
That (above) is their regular combo with a black helmet.Simple, if they wore these jerseys against a white jersey, they would have to wear a black helmet, if they were to have worn them against a coloured jersey, they would have to wear a white helmet.Teams (generally) can't wear the same coloured helmet in a game. It's always weird to me to see the USA in all blue except helmet. Visit my store on REDBUBBLE

dbadefense1990
Of that generation of third uniforms, it's the Mighty Ducks' and Kings' thirds that I didn't like. Are you referring to the Kings' "Burger King" and Ducks' "Toon Disney" sweaters? Because if you are, I get a chuckle out of how bad they were.

Kramerica Industries
Those Mighty Ducks Wild Wing jerseys are a classic case of being so ugly that it's a charming quality.I would never want to see those worn ever again in an NHL game, but if I ever got my hands on one, I would never let it get away.I love how Teemu Selanne is the poster boy for that jersey. WSU151
Unpopular opinion - I've always thought the Kings' Burger King jersey was phenomenal. Damn near impossible to fine one within reasonable cost. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
Axe
I find that Bruins jersey just ok. The design overall is pretty cool by itself, it's just that the logos made it mediocre, which is sad. Not to mention the "Bruins" wordmark on the shoulders just looks awkward.
kw11333
The thing that makes that Ducks jersey so dumb, is that, that cartoon duck is wearing the (then) regular Mighty Ducks jersey
