Not a huge critic of the officials but that was one of the most BS technicals I've ever seen called on Tyler Hansbrough. At best he said something to Chris Andersen, so if your going to start calling technicals for trash talking, you would have half a dozen tehnicals through one quarter. I have no idea what the officials were expecting Hansbrough to do in that situation.

Also as TNT said if your going to toss Nazr Mohammad, you have to toss Chris Andersen as well. The only difference I can tell is that Nazr shoved LeBron and Andersen went after Tyler Hansbrough and the NBA wonders why fans think superstar players are given preferential treatment from officials.

I second that. That call was almost an excuse just to give Miami the ball and a free throw. Yes, Hansbrough did retaliate, but Anderson should have been T-d up at the least, if not tossed out.

Well Andersen did get a T as well and a flagrant one on top of it and Indiana got free throws from the flagrant.

I don't even think Hansbrough retaliated though. All he did was talk back to Andersen after he bumped him and then Andersen shoved him for it. A technical foul assumes that at some point he was in the wrong, but can someone tell me at what point Hansbrough was in the wrong here? The only argument you can make there is that anytime somebody does anything physical to you, your supposed to just sit there and take it and wait for the officials to help you.

I don't think it had much of an impact on the game and how much is Indiana kicking themselves right now for blowing game one? They could be going back to Indiana with a chance to close this thing out. Instead they have to win there just to come back to Miami for a game seven and I do see them taking game seven in Miami provided they even get there.

Stern, the guy who goes to great lengths to defend the leagues' refs Miami Heat, actually said today that Birdman should've been tossed last night.

Fixed it.

And if he did go as far as defending his refs, why the cold shoulder on Tim Donaghy?

Ugh, Stern runs the NBA like a casino addict on a weekend in Vegas: have his star players cause trouble and act like jackasses now, and have them deal with the consequences later on another day.

I wonder which Heat will blatantly shove/elbow/knee-chop a Pacer and play dirty in Game 6, to which Miami wins because of it, and that person won't mind a suspension for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Fixed it. I just want to point out my unhealthy obsession with the Heat with my idiocy.

Fixed it.

And for the bold, it's because Stern wants to protect the brand of the NBA at all costs.

Indiana is a Roy Hibbert defensive sub away from a 4-2 series win.

That being said, there is a 0.00% chance the Heat lose Game 7 at home. I expect Miami to win by 50... 60... 70...

Grant Hill retired today.

Sad that all his injuries crippled what could have been an illustrious career. Wish he would have gotten an NBA ring for all his services; he's one of those people who you want to win, can't for cruelty's sake, but still has an admirable fanbase at the end of the day.

But he did introduce NBA fans to Sprite:

Well, that's a logical fallacy, but, yeah, the Pacers let that one slip away through mind-numbing coaching decisions.

If you are talking about Game 1, there have been many players and coaches publicly saying that Hibbert on the bench was not the issue, nor was the defensive call, Paul George failed to do his job. That is not on coaching; that was on the player.
