I'm just gonna take back my previous prediction of "maybe even six games". Still have to see what happens tomorrow night, but now I say "probably not even five".

Basically, it felt like the Pens/Sens series in 07 reversed. The Isles were the young, inexperienced, unprepared team that seemed overwhelmed and almost in awe of the playoff scene and a superior opponent. Can they still steal a game back on the Island? Possibly. But man did Nabby look... shaky.

That's my exact problem with the NHL's current discipline philosophy. They penalize the result, rather than the intent.

Ahhh CBC..except it's a controlled Americanized feed of the CBC. No anthem, no pre game commentary. Nada. I loathe American broadcasting companies so much. They don't provide atmosphere, rarely air the anthem or pregame ceremonies, it's absurd. The only part I like about NBC being cheap and picking up this feed is the lack of Don Cherry.

Edit: Washington vs. NYR; shots are 12-1 Washington at this point. Good god.

I don't think it's a suspension. Eller touches the puck. Gryba doesn't leave his feet, and it's a big guy getting nailed in the chest. It's really tough to judge. Eller's health is all that matters.

Also I hope Diaz thinks twice before leaving his man hanging out to dry again.
