So on top of Eller being gone for probably the series. Habs now down Max Pacioretty and Brian Gionta for tonight per Elliotte Friedman.

Must be pretty bad if it requires you to miss Game 2 of the Playoffs.

I've watched the replays of the Gryba hit a few times now, and I'm still trying to figure out how it's a penalty. The guy put his shoulder into the other guy's chest. It's not interference, as the puck is there. What, exactly, did he do wrong?

Bloodied him up, mostly. The hit had no Torres-like nefarious vendetta, but he'll still fall on the sword.

She got fired because she went viral, leading to someone on the Blackhawks discovering an old, really really bad YouTube "comedy" series she co-starred in, and the team demanded her ouster as a result, which they can do because they partially own the channel.

The web series wasn't anything Collins attempted to hide, given that she credits it on her website bio. So obviously, CSN knew about it when they hired her. It's a case of "it wasn't a problem until it was a problem".

The refs only called the 5 minute major because they knew they wouldn't hear the end of it from the Montreal fans. Earlier this year, a teammate of mine made the exact same hit on a guy in the same context, minus the blood and got 5 for head contact because the guy was injured by the hit.

Also, Sid is playing tonight wearing a fishbowl.
