TrueYankee26
More teams:Obviously MLS did not exist yet, let alone Metrostars/NYRB, and the Cosmos were on hiatus... as for why I like all of those teams, I got my reasons, Lol. trueyankee26.wordpress.com
TheGiantsFan
1999My primary team in their last year at Candlestick Park, the San Francisco Giants:My secondary baseball team that I go for except when they play the Giants, the Oakland Athletics:(Interestingly enough, Tim Hudson [who's pitching in this pic] is currently a San Francisco Giant)When baseball is in the offseason, I try to get myself to watch the NBA. My team for that is the Golden State Warriors: BEHANCE | PORTFOLIO

ColeJ
also, if you didn't notice, none of my teams are currently from the same city, or even state.... i moved around a lot as a kid. so now for an extra credit assignment, i'm going to re-do this list with the uniforms that these teams were wearing when i lived in their state, thus cementing my fandom of that team in my nomadic travels.Dallas Stars - 1993:Alabama Crimson Tide - Late 80's:Boston Red Sox - Born in 1984 in Salem, cementing my loyalty:Tennesee Titans/Houston Oilers - Early-to-mid 90's:
BlueSky
A cruel thread indeed for some of us who may, shall we say, "predate" our favorite teams. Yes, I was 6 when the Saints came into the world but we didn't move to N.O. until 1969 so that's the first time I became a fan. It was also a year they wore one of my favorite unis so I'll go with that.
Rambulance
1974 (Rams, Cubs, Blackhawks, Iowa)Very difficult to find a 1974 Iowa Football photo, so this is technically from 1975.
Bobster
The Suns, Diamondbacks and Coyotes didn't even exist the year I was born (1963).The Cardinals had their classic look that they used from the 1960's through most of the 90's (with some minor changes). WSU151
I was born in 1995 so here are some of the looks of my favorite teams during that year. The Rays didn't exist though. Louisville Cardinals Basketball: This pic was from the UMass/ Louisville game with DeJuan Wheat's shot was blocked by Marcus Camby.Indianapolis Colts: Marshall Faulk wearing the rare blue pants.Louisville Football: Chris RedmanSeattle Supersonics (Now OKC Thunder): Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp wearing their classic 90's uniform.Pittsburgh Penguins: Robo-Penguin meets gradient goodness. 1994Those Penguins third jerseys were unveiled in the spring of 1996. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

sportsfan0518
This is a really clever and fun idea!Strahan in the vintage Giant unis, Alex Ochoa in the Mets mid-90s unis, John Wallace during the 1996 NCAA Tournament, a very young Marty Brodeur, and Kerry Kittles as a rookie.
