Yeah, no more excuses for the Dolphins. They're getting better and better. It's not unreasonable for a fan to aim for division title. The Pats aren't exactly falling apart, and one of them should earn a wildcard spot, but the Dolphins can beat them out for the division. I think the AFC North is a joke. No playoff teams. Which sucks, because the AFC West has three.

If the Dolphins suck again it is the gm or Tannehill's fault

The team just hired a new one. So blaming him and terminating him will result in paying for 3 GMs in a span of 13 months. It was the now-departed Jeff Ireland who drafted Dion Jordan who could not get on the field.

Blame Tannehill? Why when he is essentially a QB learning on the job and behind a subpar OL since he gets sacked the most in the last two seasons and now has a new OC?

Wasn't there a "trade" of sorts when Gruden went to Tampa Bay?

Sort of. The Bucs gave a few draft picks to the Raiders in exchange for them to release Gruden from his contract.

I was watching Super Bowl XXXVII on YouTube last night and Madden said that the only reason Oakland was even willing to make that move was because they were afraid that Tampa would have picked up Steve Mariucci, Gruden would've worked the remainder of his contract in Oakland, then bolted for the 49ers.

Apparently everyone in Oakland knew Gruden was as good as gone anyway, so they wanted to avoid the embarrassment of losing him to the other local team. I'd say it definitely turned out more embarrassing for them in the end.

The NFL is now in the business of policing racial and sexual-orientation-related slurs. Good luck with that, NFL.

This is not going to end well. "Penalty on #99 for violating the naughty language rule, 15 yards from the spot of the foul and a 10 minute timeout in the corner."

Russ Brandon, President & CEO of the Buffalo Bills, and Keith Pelley, President of Rogers Media, have issued the following statement: "The Buffalo Bills and Rogers are committed to delivering a first-class NFL experience to Canadians. As such, we have postponed for one year the scheduled 2014 regular season game at Rogers Centre in Toronto, and that game will return to Ralph Wilson Stadium. We will use this time to collectively evaluate opportunities and build on the foundation to enhance future games.

Enhance future games eh? Interesting since they just signed that extension this year too.

I think they mean developing a competitive team. Losing a home game each year isn't the best way to do that.

The NFL needs to be consistent scheduling. Either each team plays a game at a neutral field, or none do. It's not fair that some teams have eight home games and other teams only seven.

I think Buffalo chooses to play in Toronto, but I don't think the game in London is decided by owners. It would never be fair. Chicago vs. Green Bay, for example, would bring in a lot of money for the home team, and if you put that game in London, that would result in tonnes of money lost. Jacksonville going to Toronto wouldn't bring in nearly as much money for Buffalo.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Broncos will release Champ Bailey, clearing up about $10 million in cap space.

It's unfortunate, but makes sense. He can still play if he can stay healthy, but he can't perform at a level that justifies paying him that much.

The Rams play 8 road games and 8 neutral-site games.

The Bills should be happy they only play one neutral-site game.....

He was good the year before last. He was injured all of last season, so it's unfair to really hold that against him in some regards, but the year prior (which will be remembered for him getting burned by Torrey Smith in the playoffs), he rated out as one of the better CB's in football.

I don't know how anyone can bet against a rematch of last years Super Bowl.

I love my Seahawks but I just don't see them going back. It's going to be a tough divisional race and I think they will get beat up this upcoming year. But I guess a rematch is possible.

Those are my thoughts too, but I'm also thinking that the 49ers will make a good case to derail a Seahawks/Broncos matchup. Outside of perhaps the Patriots and maybe the Steelers, I don't see the Broncos having that much competition for the AFC.
