If there's one man who can win games with the a bullpen as bad as the Cubs' is right now, it's Joe Maddon. Bringing in the nasty hobo (@JasonInMiami) for the eighth didn't pan out, but luckily Coke and Motte got out of the jam masterfully. No manager on Earth would have thought to bring left-handed, 5'11" starting pitcher Travis Wood on for the save, but he induced three lazy fly balls to end the game.

And in the quirkiest, Maddon-esque fashion possible, the Chicago Cubs have won six straight games for the first time since 2011!

Cabrera is a beast. 400 HR's. Congrats, Miguel. You make ALL of us proud.

Nope.
Who's us?

Proud baseball fans. Cabrera is one of the greatest players to walk the face of the Earth-and I am privileged to watch history. Witnessing greatness.
Dude, enough with the hyperbole. You're like Buzzfeed, if the website

became a person.

I wonder if he's related to: bill-walton.png

There's no doubt that Miguel Cabrera is a GREAT player. Anyone who wins the triple crown has to be considered in that upper echelon.

That being said, this will forever be the first thing I think of when he's brought up.

I STILL can't believe he struck out to end the World Series on a weak as hell Sergio Romo fastball.

Indeed, they even picked lice out of his beard and tried to remove some of the maggots on his leg, but to no avail.

.

Jason Motte also looks extremely nasty, that clubhouse must smell worse then an Iraqi prison in July, Joe Maddon is known for his shenanigans in Tampa, but here he must start slowly, introducing soap should have been his first move as the manager for the Cubs.

;)
