Comparison between Kings retro court and the original 1985 design. Kudos again to the excellent kodrinsky database

The 1985-1991 Sacramento Kings look always amused me ... especially considering the array of blues they used in their logo, court and jerseys (both home and away) -- VERY inconsistent. The ONLY place you find baby blue is in the home uniform and the only place you find ... the smurf(?) blue is on the court. The blue on the logo and home uniforms is the only consistent thing.

So odd. So fascinating.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I read somewhere that the baby blues were actually a mistake by the manufacturer. But instead of returning them, the owners of the Kings owners asked for a discount and used the baby blues.

On another Kings note, it looks like they decided to drop the pride uniforms that leaked earlier this year.
